The research and priorities areas for the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) will have a
significant impact on economic development, competitiveness, and efficiency gains in the agricultural sectors. The agricultural
sectors prioritised the following strategic research interventions based on the current state of science and technology,
