 ABSTRTACT

The real estate market is highly dynamic and influenced by numerous factors, making
accurate house price prediction a complex yet crucial task for buyers, sellers, investors,
and policymakers. This project focuses on developing a machine learning-based model to
predict residential property prices by analyzing a comprehensive set of features such as
location, size, number of rooms, age, and neighborhood characteristics. Leveraging
advanced algorithms including Linear Regression, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting,
the model aims to capture nonlinear relationships and interactions within the data that
traditional methods often overlook. The process involves data collection, preprocessing,
exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model training, and rigorous evaluation
using metrics like Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE).
The best-performing model demonstrates high accuracy and robustness in predicting house
prices, providing valuable insights into key factors affecting property values. This
predictive tool facilitates informed decision-making in the real estate sector, enhancing
transparency and efficiency. The project also addresses challenges such as data quality,
overfitting, and model interpretability by employing appropriate preprocessing techniques,
cross-validation, and explainable AI methods. Overall, this work showcases the practical
application of machine learning in real estate valuation, paving the way for more data-
driven and reliable housing market analyses.
