This is to notify all concerned that the Seventy-First (71 st) Convocation of the Institute will be held on Tuesday, the
15th July 2025. All students graduating in the academic session 2024-25 are eligible to be awarded the degrees at
the Convocation, either in person or in absentia

For Award of Deqree in Person:


1. Students who will be collecting the Degree Certificates in person are required to reach IIT Kharagpur
positively by 14th July, 2025 (FN) for mandatory Convocation Registration.
2. Convocation Registration for all (UG, PG, RS students) will be held on 14th July, 2025 (Monday) between 9.30
A.M. and 2.00 P.M at Nalanda Classroom Complex.
3. Students must collect their Convocation Scarf & Convocation kit from the designated Registration Counter after
registration .
4. Attendance at the full-scale Convocation Rehearsal on Monday, 14th July 2025 is compulsory (Rehearsal
details will be notified on the Institute website http://www.iitkgp.ac.in)
5. Students must follow the guidelines to be provided in the Convocation Kit.
6. Registration for participation, attendance in the rehearsal and a formal dress are mandatory, failing which no
degree recipient will be permitted to attend the Convocation
7. The following dress code be preferably followed for the 71 st Convocation
(A) Male Deqree Recipients'.
Attire: White or Off-white Kurta-Pyjama

(B) Female Degree Recipients:


Attire: Saree with matching coloured blouse

(C) Deqree Recipients of Other Genders:


May choose any of the above-mentioned options

8. Further details will be notified on the Institute website http://www.iitkgp.ac.in as and when available. All
concerned are requested to visit the website regularly for the updates.
