1. The Shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar is a mausoleum dedicated to the 13th century
Sufi saint and a poet, Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. The shrine is located in Sehwan
Sharif, District Jamshoro. The tomb complex was built in 1356 C.E under the reign
of Shah Tughluq.
2. Kotri Bridge is a road-rail bridge connecting Kotri (Jamshoro) with Hyderabad on Indus
River in Sindh, Pakistan. It was opened to traffic on 25 May 1900 and was reconstructed
in 1931. Its total length is 594 meters. Kotri Bridge is still in use for one-way railway and
two-way road traffic.
4. The Sindh ibex or Turkman wild goat is a vulnerable subspecies of wild goat endemic
to southwest Pakistan, and southeast Iran. The population estimate of Sindh ibex
in Kirthar national park Jamshoro is around 30,000.
5. The Lakhra Coal Mine is a coal mine located in Jamshoro Sindh. The mine has coal
reserves amounting to 1.33 billion tons of coking coal, one of the largest coal reserves in
Pakistan.
6. Lake Manchar is the largest natural freshwater lake in Pakistan and one of the largest
in South Asia. It is located west of the Indus River, in Jamshoro Sindh. Lake Manchar is
among the most ancient sites, which date from the Harappan culture.
10. Ranikot also known as the Great Wall of Sindh is a 19th-century (reconstructed)
Talpur-era fort near Sann in Jamshoro District, Sindh, Pakistan. The fort's ramparts have
been compared to the Great Wall of China. The site was nominated in 1993 by the
Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO world heritage status, and has since been
on the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
11. The University of Sindh is a public research university in Pakistan located in the city
of Jamshoro in the Sindh province. It is one of the oldest universities in Pakistan and
was certified by ISO in 2015. Sindh University is noted for its research in
literature, natural sciences, philosophy, and Sindhology.
13. First of its kind the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects in Pakistan, 90 km
east-northeast from the city of Karachi, District Jamshoro, Sindh Province that operates
wind turbines, which supply annual generation of 138,900 MWh to the WAPDA grid
reducing emissions by an annual 86,000 tons of Carbon Dioxide equivalent.
