I. INTRODUCTION

We specifically picked a water level sensor since it is not only simple, accurate, and an

“easy to connect with” integration with the microcontrollers, even as simple as the Arduino

microcontroller board. It gives off real-time monitoring. This is very useful in situations where the

water level is hard to discover in a flowing stream, for example, the river is fast flowing, or the river

is constantly being filled or discharged.A water level sensor is a useful tool that is utilized to

determine and supervise the amount of water in a container, tank, or reservoir. It works by finding

the water droplets by means of different kinds of conducting wires or other kinds of detecting

apparatus, and then providing a digital or analog signal. Besides, they are an essential part of

different systems including automation, agriculture, and water management to avoid floods, save

water smartly, and have them functioning with a high degree of efficiency.

II. OBJECTIVES

1. To create a system that is capable of detecting and monitoring water levels in real-time

with great accuracy.

2. To assess the applicability and reliability of the water level sensor in different climatic

conditions through testing.

3. To determine the success of the water level sensor in averting overflow, shortage of

water, or damage to equipment in diverse use cases.

III. MATERIALS

Quantity Description Actual Picture of the

Material
Arduino UNO A microcontroller board based on the
board ATmega328P, used for electronics projects
and prototyping with digital and analog I/O.

Water level A device that detects and monitors water

sensor levels using conductive traces or probes,
providing analog or digital output.

Buzzer A screen module for displaying characters or

data, commonly used with microcontrollers
like Arduino.

I2C module An adapter that enables LCDs to

communicate with microcontrollers via the
I2C protocol, reducing wiring complexity.

Jumper wire Insulated wires with connectors, used for

making electrical connections in circuits.

LED A Light Emitting Diode (LED) is a

semiconductor device that emits light when
an electric current passes through it, offering
energy efficiency and a long lifespan
compared to traditional incandescent bulbs.

IV. PROJECT CONSTRUCTION

Step 1: Gathering Materials

- Components: Water level sensor, Arduino UNO, Buzzer, LED (yellow&green), I2C module, jumper
wires, and a power source.

Step 2: Wiring and Circuit Assembly

- Connect the water level sensor’s VCC, GND, and signal pin to the
Arduino.
- Use jumper wires to link components.

Step 3: Schematic Diagram

A schematic diagram is essential for understanding the
circuit layout. Below is the connection setup:

Step 4: Programming the Arduino

- Upload a program to read the sensor’s
output..

Step 5: Testing and Calibration

- Submerge the sensor in water at different levels and
observe the readings.
- Adjust code thresholds for accurate level detection.

VI. CONCLUSION

One of the most significant benefits of the water level sensor was that it could perfectly designate

and control the water levels with no waiting time or delay. The system effectively utilized the

integration of the Arduino UNO to deliver clear and accurate water level updates. The device

comes with impressive simplicity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, making it a feasible solution

for water management applications. When looking at the bigger picture, fluid monitoring

systems—machines that naturally contain the water level sensor—have become core instruments

of total automation in modern times, appearing in household, industrial, and agricultural settings.

Potential modifications could include the addition of wireless data transmission and mobile alerts

to boost functionality.
