Career Focus

What are the three things that you aspire for in your career?
In the short term, I aspire to bridge the gap between my legal background and management aspirations.
Pursuing an MBA will equip me with a diverse skillset, combining my legal acumen with a nuanced
understanding of how businesses function. In the long run, I aim to leverage this unique blend of expertise
to make meaningful contributions to businesses. My understanding of competition laws, insolvency laws,
labor laws, corporate governance, and data protection allows me to offer valuable insights that ensure
businesses operate responsibly. Finally, my third aspiration is to translate my understanding of constitutional
principles – justice, fairness, and equality – into ethical business decisions. This fosters not only long-term
sustainability but also positive societal impact.
Give instances of situations where you used an innovative or creative method to solve a problem.
As Convenor of the Centre for Insolvency, during my final year at college, I was tasked to expand the reach
of the CIBS-IBBI Certificate Course (2023). Recognizing limitations of traditional email invitations sent to
colleges, I led a team of 22 to achieve a 40% increase in participation (from 500 to 700 attendees)
attracting not just students but also young practitioners. We implemented a creative approach, utilizing
social-media platforms and top legal blogs to connect with a wider audience beyond college networks. To
further enrich the program, I leveraged the colleges alumni network to secure a diverse speaker panel
featuring prominent legal professionals. These experts, engaged in contemporary issues, ensuring the
programs relevance and impact and making the event a success.
What does ‘ambition’ mean to you? Describe instances of steps you have taken to fulfil your
ambition?
Ambition, to me, is the drive to excel and create meaningful impact. Over the past seven months in
litigation, I have developed stakeholder management skills and a problem-solving mindset, reinforcing my
goal of a managerial role. Earlier, specializing in Business Law deepened my understanding of corporate
frameworks. Combining this knowledge with practical experience, I recognized the synergy between law and
management in shaping business strategy. To realize this ambition, an MBA is the next step—equipping me
with the broader managerial perspective needed to transition from a legal facilitator to a strategic decision-
maker.

Which industry and job roles do you aspire to join after completing the MBA programme? Explain
how these choices align with your skills, interests, and long-term career goals.
After completing my MBA, I aspire to work in strategy and general management roles across industries that
require a structured approach to problem-solving, regulatory awareness, and cross-functional decision-
making. My background in litigation has honed my analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and risk
assessment skills—essential for strategic roles. I am particularly interested in the intersection of law and
business, where I can leverage my legal expertise alongside business strategy to drive impactful decisions.
Long-term, I aim to take on leadership roles, where I can integrate legal and business insights to navigate
complexities, optimize operations, and contribute to organizational growth.

Managerial Traits

What is the biggest challenge / change that you have faced. How did you cope with it?
Earlier as a student, I frequently struggled to overcome a hesitation in seeking guidance. This impacted my
efficiency during an internship at Khaitan & Co., Delhi. While assigned a complex due diligence task
involving Sec. 230 merger approvals (Companies Act, 2013), I spent significant time researching procedures
independently, aiming to make a strong impression. While the work was accurate, a senior associate
highlighted a pre-existing template that could have saved valuable time. This experience underscored the
importance of collaboration and seeking support to optimize efficiency. Ive actively addressed this by
consciously overcoming my hesitation and now proactively apply the learnings while working as a lawyer.
What type of leadership style do you have? Describe anyone instance where you assumed a
leadership role.
I thrive in a leadership style that blends democratic participation with coaching and mentorship. This
ensures efficiency, progress, and continuous development. As Convenor of the Centre for Insolvency and
Bankruptcy Studies (CIBS) at NLUJ (2023-24), I led a team responsible for impactful initiatives reaching
over 1,500 law students nationwide. This included a National Level Certificate Course, an Inter-College
Essay Competition, and managing the CIBS Blog (largest IBC blog in India). I fostered a collaborative
environment, soliciting team input throughout the event lifecycle (planning to execution). Additionally, I
mentored junior members, equipping them with delegation and task management skills for future leadership
roles.
What is the importance of Geo Political issues and their impact on International trade? Discuss
with a recent example.
In todays globalized world, international trade thrives on predictability. Geopolitical issues disrupt this
certainty, posing significant challenges for investors and businesses. Firstly, stable environments are crucial
for investor confidence and long-term returns. Political instability, arising from geopolitical tensions, can
create risk aversion, hindering trade and investment. Recently, international trade in crucial technologies,
particularly semiconductors, is significantly affected by rising tariffs and geopolitical tensions. A crucial event

in 2025 is the announcement by Indias IT minister that the first Made in India semiconductor chips will
launch by October, signalling Indias potential role in the global supply chain amidst the US-China tech war.
What does ‘integrity’ mean to you? Describe any situation where you faced an ethical dilemma.
How did you resolve it?
Integrity means maintaining consistent ethical principles regardless of circumstance. In my current role
working under a senior advocate at the Rajasthan High Court, I faced a dilemma when assigned to assist
with a case defending an individual accused under the NDPS Act with potentially fabricated evidence.
Though the criminal/drug charges made it a controversial case, I believed in everyones right to fair
representation. I researched relevant precedents on fabricated evidence to build a robust defense. This
experience reinforced my commitment to ethical practice by ensuring even vulnerable individuals receive
proper legal support.

Any other information that you have not mentioned before and that you consider may be
relevant.
I am passionate about contemporary legal issues that impact the business environment, which led me to
publish six articles in well-reputed legal blogs. Writing these required extensive research, analytical thinking,
and creativity—skills that are equally valuable in business strategy. Beyond legal writing, I explore creativity
through music, playing the guitar and piano as a hobby.
