🔥 Top Priority Chapters (High Weightage + High Conceptual

Depth)
1. Rotational Motion

 Most conceptual part of Mechanics.

 Involves torque, angular momentum, rolling motion, moment of inertia.
 Many multi-concept problems include this.

2. Current Electricity

 Scoring + conceptual; often mixed with Kirchhoff’s laws, internal resistance.

 Questions include circuits, power distribution, combinations of resistors.

3. Electrostatics & Capacitors

 Combines field theory with potential, energy, and conductors.

 Capacitor networks are often tricky.

4. Magnetism & Moving Charges (Magnetic Effects of Current)

 Biot–Savart, Ampere’s Law, Force on a moving charge.

 Frequently appears with Current Electricity & EMI.

5. SHM (Simple Harmonic Motion)

 Very common; requires deep understanding of motion, energy, phasors.

 Tied into Waves and Oscillations often.

6. Wave Optics & Ray Optics

 Interference, diffraction, lenses, mirrors – highly conceptual but scoring.

 JEE loves conceptual traps here (especially YDSE variations).

7. Modern Physics (Photoelectric effect, Bohr model, Nuclear)

 Theory-heavy and scoring.

 Often has one or two direct, fast questions.

⚙️Medium Priority (Still Important)

8. Laws of Motion + Friction

 Basic mechanics, but critical for understanding later chapters.

 Appears in questions involving pulleys, inclined planes, etc.

9. Work, Energy, and Power

 Essential foundation for Mechanics.

 Concepts like conservative forces, potential energy surfaces.

10. Thermodynamics + Kinetic Theory

 Thermo overlaps with Chemistry, but in Physics, focuses on PV diagrams, processes, and
the 1st law.

11. Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) + AC

 Faraday’s law, Lenz’s law, LCR circuits — moderate difficulty but very frequent.

✅ Low Volume, High Scoring

12. Units, Dimensions & Errors

 Very easy and often gives 1–2 direct questions.

 Dimensional analysis, error calculation.

13. Experimental / Practical Physics

 Graph-based or instrument-based.
 Common in both papers, often easy if revised properly.
