10th International Conference of CELAO - INGLES
You are cordially invited to submit your abstracts / proposals for Individual Papers and
Panels discussion for the 10th biennial CELAO conference to be held from the 28th to
29th August 2025 at Universidad Católica de Salta (Catholic University of Salta) in
Argentina. The 10th International CELAO Conference aims to gather academics and
intellectuals form around the world to share their knowledge and experiences in relation
to the general theme of the conference “Strengthening cooperation among Latin
America, Asia and Oceania”. Proposals for panels and individual papers should
be focused on the general theme and be linked to one of the topics suggested in
the 8 pillars stated in Point 3 “General Theme and Pillars” as described below. Papers
on other topics related to the conference’s objective are also welcome.
▪ Each presenter will participate in a maximum of 2 presentations.
▪ Papers in English, Spanish and Portuguese will be accepted.
▪ Presentations (Individual and Panels) will be conducted in
English/Spanish/Portuguese, with no simultaneous interpretation.
▪ Abstracts should be submitted on or before June 30th, 2025 by email to the
Conference Secretariat.
▪ Final panels and themed sessions will be announced on July 28th, 2025.
▪ Authors of the submitted abstracts for presentation must also make separate
registration for the Conference by filling in the Registration Form.
▪ Submission of abstracts doesn't include official registration for the Conference. If the
abstract is submitted by two authors, both authors must make the official registration.
▪ All the accepted abstracts will be eligible to be presented at the conference.
Presenters should register on or before the final registration deadline.
▪ Presenters will make their own travel and accommodation arrangements (The next
circular will provide a list of accommodation options).
▪ Detailed program of the Keynote Speeches, Social and Cultural Activities will be
posted on our website in due time.
1. INDIVIDUAL PAPERS
Participants are invited to submit their abstracts of no more than 300 words,
preferably in English, for their individual papers (a maximum of 2 per person) that
are related to the General Theme/Pillars and the objectives of the conference as per
the submission guidelines below:
▪ Submit your abstract(s) using the Paper Abstract Form attached with the
circular.
▪ Save the Paper Abstract Form under the name(s) of the author(s).
▪ Email the form to the Secretariat Office on or before June 30th, 2025.
▪ Once your abstract has been reviewed, you will be notified of its acceptance.
Presentation Format:
Each presenter will be assigned a 20 time frame for paper presentation and followed by
a 5 to 10 minutes Question-and-Answer session.
2. PANEL DISCUSSION
To encourage collaboration and topical coherence within the field of interest, Panel
Proposals on any topic relevant to the General Theme/Pillars or the objectives of the
Conference should be submitted on or before the submission deadline as per the
submission guidelines below:
The Chair of a Panel is the person responsible for ensuring the cooperation and
attendance of all the participants of his/her Panel and for deciding on the internal
structure of the Panel.
The General theme for the Conference is “Strengthening cooperation among Latin
America, Asia and Oceania”. Papers and panels are encouraged to focus on
interaction and comparison between the continents, as well as interdisciplinary
studies. There are 8 recommended pillars and contents.
