REQUIREMENTS : Qualification: FETC (Further Education Training Certificate) in Auxiliary


Nursing (NQF level 4). Submission of valid proof of registration with the
South African Nursing Council. Knowledge of nursing care processes and
procedures, nursing statutes and other relevant legal frameworks such as
Nursing Act, Health Act and Patient Rights Charter. Skills and
Competencies: good communication, interpersonal and writing skills.

DUTIES : Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care). Provides an
environment conducive to the well-being of the patient. Provide
elementary clinical nursing care. Assist professional nurse with clinical
procedures. Maintain professional growth/ethical standard and self-
development. To maintain the code of conducts required in the Public
Service and by the Professional Body.
