Term Paper (7-10 pages, double spaced)


Details:
 No more than 10 pages (double spaced) not including references
 Should have at least 7 outside references
 APA style citations (intext and reference list)
 Normal margins, size 12 Times New Roman font
 Papers can be submitted on eClass in PDF or DOC/DOCX format (PDF preferred)
Abstract:
 On its own page. Counts towards page count.
 A summary of the written paper you just wrote. Usually written last.
Introduction:
 Should include outside references
 Based mainly on your research paper
 Tells us about the topic you will be explaining more on
 Tells me about research question of YOUR paper
o This is where you may introduce news article
Research Summary:
 Tell me the research question and hypothesis of the RESEARCH paper
 Should be about 2 pages
 Don’t have to go into detail about the stats unless you think it is important to tell the story
 Support the study with outside references
Discussion:
 Give good and bad critiques of both the research paper and the news articles.
 This is where you will talk about the news article the most
 Give a nice conclusion paragraph to the whole paper

Grade deductions (not limited to):


 Over/under page limit
 Lack of cohesive narrative
 Use of quotations (NO Quotes in science!)
 Inappropriate article selection
 Late submissions
 Plagiarism = 0
