2025 Large Group Band Festival

When: Thursday, March 6th

Meet: Boise High School Band Room - 7:30am
Wear: Tux/Dress (including black dress shoes, black socks, bowtie, cummerbund, etc.)
Bring: Instrument + Music, Sack lunch (there is nowhere to buy lunch - bring your lunch!)

We will ride buses from Boise High to Centennial. We’ll get to listen to one band to understand
the acoustics of the hall, then we warm up at 10am and perform at 10:30am. After our
performance, we will receive a clinic! We will eat lunch and listen to a couple bands perform
after our clinic, then return to Boise High on buses (we’ll be back by the end of the school day).
You will be excused from class with activity absences that day. Friends and family are
encouraged to attend - there is no ticket fee.

Boys State Basketball Info

Our boys basketball team has qualified for their state tournament. If they win
game 1, we play game 2; same for game 3. If they lose, we are done. Now that
they’ve been seeded, here are the game days and times:

Game 1: Thursday, March 6th

-We are not attending due to Festival!

Game 2: Friday, March 7th (Only if they win game 1 on Thursday)

-Meet in band room wearing band shirt at 10AM; load buses
-We will load buses to come back around 1:30pm and should be back to BHS 2-
2:30pm depending on traffic

Game 3: Saturday, Feb. 22nd (Only if they win games 1 & 2)

-Meet in band room wearing band shirt at 5:45PM; load buses
-We will load buses to come back around 9:30pm and should be back to BHS
10pm depending on traffic

Students are welcome to bring money as concessions will be available. We will

bring only what we need into the game (instrument, music, case) and leave
bags/backpacks in the band room as they do thorough bag checks and have only
an open communal storage area. I will excuse students from class on Friday, so
those will appear as activities absences.
Pre Festival Concert
In advance of our large group festival performance, we are having a shared Pre-Festival
Concert with Borah Bands. That event will be Thursday, February 27th at Borah High
School in their auditorium. The concert will begin at 7pm. Student call time is 6:15pm.
Students should arrive in full concert attire (tux, dress, etc.). You should have your instrument
and music for that event as well. Friends and family are encouraged to attend - there is no
ticket fee. Both percussion ensemble and symphonic band will be performing at this concert!
