THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE


THE PNP is considered as the premier law enforcement agency in our country.
Under ARTICLE XVI, SECTION 6 OF THE 1987 PH CONSTITUTION, provides, “the
state establish and maintain one police force which shall be national in scope and
civilian in character, to be administered and controlled by a national police commission.
The authority of local executives over the police units in their jurisdiction shall be
provided by law”

National Police (PNP)

THE NATIONAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION


BI – created on NOVEMBER 13, 1936 approved COMMONWEALTH ACT NO 181
JUNE 19, 1947 – RA NO. 157 WAS PASSED REORGANIZING THE BUREAU OF
INVESTIGATION.
