The knowledge points outlined hi this chapter must be memorized for acing the digital SAT
Math test.
Memorization is essential for achieving high scores on standardized tests. While under

Major Test Topics the exam can significantly boost performance. For example, knowing formulas like the
quadratic formula or the Pythagorean theorem off the top of your head allows you to solve
problems more efficiently, saving valuable time and reducing errors.
Memorizing essential information also helps build mental agility. With a solid knowledge
base, students can focus on solving problems rather than struggling to recall basic concepts.

1.4.6 Trigonometry
1.4.6.1 Angles and the Measures of Angles
Definition 1.4.1. An angle is the graph formed by rotating a ray (the terminal side of the
angle) around the origin from one place to another place. Positive angles are created by
counterclockwise rotation. Negative angles are created by clockwise rotation. According to
this definition, for the angles shown in the figure, a > 0 and /3 < 0.
Definition 1.4.2. Co-terminal Angles: Two angles with the same initial and terminal
sides are called co-terminal angles. An angle of x分 is co-terminal with angles of x^ + k - 360°,
where k is an integer.
Definition 1.4.3. Quadrants and Quadrantal Angles: If the terminal side of an angle
lies on the x axis or y axis, the angle is called a quadrantal angle. Other angles except
quadrantal angles lie in the quadrants of the coordinate system shown below,
(1) Angles in the first quadrant: {a\k • 360° < a < k • 360° + 90°, k G Z}.
(2) Angles in the second quadrant: {ct|fc • 360° < ct + 90° < k • 360° + 1.80°, fc G Z}.
(3) Angles in the third quadrant: {이fc • 360° + 180° < a < k • 360° + 270°, k 三 Z}.
(4) Angles in the forth quadrant: {a|/c • 360° + 270° < a < (fe ■+• 1) • 360°, k G Z}.
There are two ways to measure angles. One is to measure angles in degree, as we have used
previously. The other is to measure angles in radian
Definition 1.4.4. Measurements of Angles By Radians: One radian is the measure
of the central angle of a circle that intercepts an arc equal in length to the radius of the
circle.
The relation between a,R,and S (the length of arc) can be expressed as
_ S(length of arc)
Q R(radius) *

of the radius of the arc and the measure of the arc in radian.

As discussed in the Preface of this book, an effective practice test should feature realistic test problem formats, accurate content
representation, and timed practice. Additionally, the practice test should have a difficulty level slightly higher than the real test,
and be assigned a slightly shorter time for completion. In this context, this chapter presents practice tests crafted to align with
the standards of an effective practice, as discussed earlier. Detailed requirements that students should meet are presented at the
beginning of each practice test.

Figure 2.1: Distributions of the test topics assessed in March. May, and June of 2024
As shown in the figures above, the distributions of the test topics in each month are greatly different, except that the test topics
on Algebra are mainly focused on test topics 1 to test topic 5. In addition to the difference in distribution of the test, topics,
the number of problems with difficulty level 4 or level 5 is also different, as shown in the table below.
Table 2.1: Challenging Problems of DSAT in March, May, and June of 2024
The emphasis on 사lallenging problems in the test varies from month to month, as illustrated in the table above. Therefore,
it is crucial that the practice test questions closely resemble the official test questions for that particular month. By creating a
seamless preparation experience, students are more likely to achieve higher scores due to the increased similarity between the
practice tests and the actual exam. In this context, the first edition of the book has evolved into a series specifically designed for
test preparation in the indicated month. Each book in the series features Practice Tests 1 to 8, which align closely with the
official test from the same month of the previous year.
It’s important to recognize that the topics tested each month can change from year to year. As a result, all potential test
topics must be addressed in the practice tests, equipping students to handle any variations in future exams. To meet this need,
Practice Tests 9 to 16 have been created to cover a wide range of possible test topics.
As previously mentioned, Practice Tests 1 to 8 are tailored to align closely with the official test scheduled for May 2025.
Meanwhile, Practice Tests 9 to 16 encompass a broader spectrum of potential test topics. I am confident that this book will
effectively support students in achieving outstanding scores on their college applications.
Objective: Assess understanding of Digital SAT Math and SAT Math readiness. This exam also aims to
provide a comprehensive assessment on concepts, definitions, and methods that are necessary to be successful
in SAT Math Exam.)
General Instructions: Read carefully each question. Picture each question if it is possible. Scratch paper
is not allowed under any circumstances. All your work must be done in these pages.
• You have up to 30 minutes for Each Module of the test. Calculators are allowed for the test.
• Each of the questions or incomplete statements below is followed by four suggested answers or
completions. Select the one that is best in each case and then fill in the corresponding circle
on the answer sheet.
• Directions for Student-Produced Responses.
— You can enter up to 5 characters for a positive number or 6 characters for a negative
