Neeraj's house is 1 𝑘𝑚 in the east of origin ( 0,0 ), While going to the school first he takes auto till hospital at B
(4,4). From the hospital (4,4) to church (4,8) he travels by city bus. From Church C (4,8) he rides in a metro train
and he reaches the school at 𝐷(−5,8). All the units are in 𝑘𝑚.
i. What is the slope of Neeraj's journey from home to Hospital?
ii. What is the distance of School from Hospital?
iii. What is the equation of the straight line joining the points 𝐴 and 𝐷 ?
37. Read the following passage and answer the given questions.
The school organised a farwell party for 100 students and school management decided three types of drinks will be
distributed in farewell party i.e., Milk (M), Coffee (C) and Tea (T).
Organiser reported that 10 students had all three drinks M, C, T. 20 students had 𝑀 and C; 30 students had 𝐶 and T;
25 students had 𝑀 and T. 12 students had 𝑀 only; 5 students had 𝐶 only; 8 students had T only.
