LOPEZ FIRE STATION HISTORY Lopez Fire Station started to serve the community
way back in 1975 and had two Fire Engines, first is the Toyota Fire truck Model 1972
with Plate No. SEC 484, Chassis No. FA115-13129, Engine No. 6BB-659-790, and
acquired in 1978, the second one was an FMC Roughneck Model 750 with Plate No.
SEC 456, Chassis No. K8 DVA-32539, Engine No. PTL8PCL920002F and acquired in
1984. The two said fire trucks suppressed the number of fires within and outside the
area of responsibilities and had undergone several major repairs for long years of
service. With the increasing population accompanied by the increase of structure,
Lopez Fire Station needs New Fire Fighting Engine and Equipment with complete
accessories. As the FMC Roughneck Model was already reported as Beyond
Economic Repair (BER) declared on 16 July 2021. Thru the initiative of INSP RANDY
B BACONAWA BFP, the previous Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, the in-house Isuzu
Tanker Fire truck with Engine No. 8PC1979920, Chassis No. CRV1762024979 has
been donated to the Bureau of Fire Protection at Local Fire Station Lopez, Quezon
on 26 October 2018 under the support and administration of HON. RACHEL
ACAYLAR UBANA Municipal Mayor and the Members of the Municipal Council of
Lopez 2016-2018. Lopez Fire Station personnel and equipment are housed at the
back of the Municipal Building situated at Rosario Street Barangay Talolong
(Poblacion) from 1975 to the Present. Earnest gratitude to LGU, for allowing
firefighters to use the place in the meantime while waiting for a permanent building
to stay on. While on 15 October 2019 through the initiative of the Officer-In-Charge,
SFO4 Rio G Balilo, and His Personnel, the Deed of Lot Donation intended for Lopez
Fire Station was formally signed, wherein the Bureau of Fire Protection was
represented by CSUPT JESUS P FERNANDEZ, CESE, Regional Director, BFP R4A as a
Donee, and the Municipality of Lopez, Quezon was represented by Municipal Mayor,
HON. RACHEL A. UBANA as a Donor. The Lot has an area of One Thousand (1,000)
square meters that in the future will serve as a permanent place for the Lopez Fire
Fighter. As the time, SFO4 Rio G Balilo was assigned on January 4, 2019, in Lopez
Fire Station, he dreamed of having a home for BFP personnel, presentable to the
public, comfortable to fire responders, and their clients. After a short period of time,
a dilapidated Lopez Fire Station was turned into a fresh and comfortable one by
having it repaired maximizing the limited resources less burden to the purse of the
government. These all were materialized with the initiative and self-help of its
Acting Municipal Fire Marshal,
