It is a statement that calls for an action to be
taken to address an issue or problem.
V. EVALUATION
PITCH(ED) BATTLE
Mechanics:
1. The class will be divided into 4 groups.
2. The activity will last for 4 rounds. One issue will be presented per round.
3. Each group has 10 seconds to discuss among themselves and propose a solution for the issue.
4. After 10 seconds, each group will present their proposal and explain why they think it is the
most effective solution.
5. Each group will be rated by the other groups on a scale of 1-10 for every round. A group’s
score for each round will be the average of the scores given by the 3 groups.
Issues:
1. Many Filipinos struggle with low wages, unemployment, and lack of access to basic needs.
2. Many skilled professionals, especially in healthcare and education, leave the country for better
opportunities abroad.
3. Mental health issues such as depression and anxiety are rising, but mental health services
remain limited.
4. Government funds are often misused, and corrupt officials remain in power, affecting national
development.

Write a 5-8 sentence paragraph explaining the issue you want to address, the policy you want to
implement, and why you think it would help. Write your output on a ½ sheet of paper (crosswise).
