Perform Electrical Installation

PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT

TIME: 3 HOURS

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATE:
1. Do not write on the question paper.
2. DO NOT switch ON power without assessor’s permission.
3. A separate plain paper will be provided.
4. Return the question paper to the assessor after the practical exercise.

PRACTICAL TASKS
1. Figure 1 shows a layout diagram of two final-circuits.

You are required to perform the following tasks:
TASK 1: Draw the wiring diagrams
TASK 2: Using PVC mini-trunking wiring system, install the circuit such that:
i. The sequence of control is wired in accordance to IEE
regulations.
ii. The lamp is controlled from three different positions through a
master switch.
iii. The socket outlets are wired in ring connection with a spur.
TASK3:

i. Carry out polarity test. ii.


Carry out continuity test.
iii. Carry our ring continuity test.
