MS-224 Engineering Economics (Spring 2025)

Presentation-1 (12.5 Absolute Marks)

Dear Students,
You are required to prepare for a group presentation scheduled on 22–23 May, 2025. This
activity will assess your achievement of Course Learning Outcome (CLO) 4:
"Analyze the given problem, consider engineering economics principles, and demonstrate
adherence to professional ethics and norms of engineering practices."
Instructions:
• Below is a list of 20 case study topics. Each group must select one topic and prepare a
presentation covering the key technical and ethical points mentioned.
• Each group will consist of three members.
• You must submit the selected topic along with the names of all group members in
printed form to my office by Monday, 19th May 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Alternative Topic Option:
• If you wish to work on a topic of your own choice, you may do so with prior approval.
• Visit my office for approval on Monday, 19th May 2025, by 10:00 AM.
• Bring a printout of your proposed topic, clearly mentioning 5–6 relevant technical and
ethical points you plan to cover in your presentation.
Presentation Format:
• Each group will have 5–8 minutes for the presentation.
• This will be followed by a 2–3 minute question-and-answer session.
Prepare your work thoroughly and ensure your analysis reflects both engineering economic
principles and ethical considerations.
Best regards,
M. Asad Ali
