Detailed Lesson Plan

Grade Level: Primary/Intermediate

Subject: English (Storytelling and Book Awareness)

Topic: Storytelling (Using Disney Stories) and Parts of the Book

Time Allotment: 1 Hour

I. Objectives
• Identify and define the different parts of the book by reading a story.

• Analyze the story and its meaning through group discussion.

• Create a visual presentation of characters and their roles in the story.

• Dramatize a scenario highlighting the lesson imparted from the story.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Storytelling and Parts of the Book

Stories: Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid

Materials: Copies of the 5 stories, colored paper, art materials, projector, speakers, chart on
book parts

Reference: Disney storybooks, elementary literature module

III. Procedure
The following table outlines the teacher and student activities for each phase of the lesson:

- Your favorite part

- The lesson you learned
