1. Objective of the Activity:

The primary objective of the Tree Plantation activity was:

 To promote environmental awareness among students.


 To contribute to the afforestation and green initiative in rural Karnataka.
 To provide practical exposure to students on community engagement and
environmental responsibility.
 To align with the AICTE's mandatory activity points for holistic development of
engineering students.

2. Activity Description:

Students of SEA College of Engineering actively participated in an organized tree plantation


drive at the Panchayat premises of H. Kattigenahalli village. Over the course of 23 days,
students engaged in the following activities:
 Site Preparation: Clearing and cleaning the planting area, digging pits, and arranging
necessary tools and saplings.
 Tree Plantation: Planting saplings including neem, peepal, banyan, mango, jackfruit,
and flowering plants.
 Awareness Campaign: Interacting with local residents and conducting small
awareness sessions on the importance of trees for the environment and health.
 Maintenance: Regular watering, mulching, and ensuring proper support for saplings
planted.
 Documentation and Reporting: Daily log of activities maintained and photographs
captured for reporting purposes.

3. Learning Outcomes:

 Improved understanding of sustainable practices and environmental responsibility.


 Hands-on experience in planning and executing a community development activity.
 Developed teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
 Fostered empathy and civic responsibility through rural engagement.
