4. Pin Description
1) RS 485 5 Pin Screw Connector

Pin number of Jumper JP2 & JP3 are as shown in the above figure
Green-Received data: This LED lights up whenever there is any incoming data from the RS 485 side
and the same being sent to the PC or USB side. Remains OFF when there is no activity.
POWER: This LED remains ON when the Unit receives power and indicates that the unit is functional
and ready to send & receive Data.

Downloaded driver will be in Zipped file format Unzip the file and save it in a separate folder.
2) Press the Windows start button to bring up the start menu and select “Control Panel”
6) Right click on the other device USB Serial Port option to bring up a menu as shown below
9) Browse and select the appropriate folder where the driver software is available.
11) When the installation has finished, Screen indicating successful installation is displayed.
13) Installing the Virtual Com Port layer of the driver is almost a repeat of the Steps from Step 6 to Step
11.
14) After assigning Virtual Com port layer it displays the COM port assigned to the device.
Click on Close button to close this window and go back to the Device Manager Window.
15) After Successful installation the assigned COM port number will be displayed corresponding to the
device.
Now the converter is ready for use with all communication programs which can support the
COM port selected.
If needed user can change the COM port number of their choice by changing the number using
properties option.
