WORDS CONCEPT/ MAIN IDEA

Language Cognition And Culture
Language And Perception In my way of seeing things, it is how we
manage to understand the situation and
assimilate everything, which is taking place
at the moment since it gives prescriptions to
adapt the use of speech, so this must be
acceptable and appropriate in the variety of
Context when using speech or language is
how we are going to understand and respond
to the situation. Is how we are going to
understand and accept the speech of the
others in the moment of talking?
Whorf This man was an anthropological linguist
who at first studied something else, he
changed and managed to study the Native
American languages as a hobby with which
he could understand and make known that
the words particularly selected to describe
or name objects influence perception and
what is the behavior of humans
Linguistic Categories And Culture What I manage to understand is that it is the
way in which a community is going to
encode the message since they have a
categorized linguistics that means that
everyone has a different model in which
they can understand between communities,
in this includes beliefs, values, customs that
is to say their entire culture, for which they
have a language for them represents a
precision of their beliefs.
Discourse Patterns And Culture Language is a fundamental part of our day
to day, it is also what identifies us as a
culture, by which we follow patterns, but in
this we always find cultural differences
between the communication that follows a
protocol by which it is identified and has a
code It must be followed up so that there is
a constant and resounding speech, but when
we fail to understand the message well, it
can even cause misunderstandings, for
which the speech must be clear and direct
between the culture and the perception of
the patterns of interaction.
Language, Social Class And Cognition It seeks to know if cognitive abilities can be
affected, it was suggested that the language
used with children who were able to
perceive could affect thinking, what it seeks
is to understand if this way of speaking can
affect speech. Perception, and this may be
due to a social class, since they do not have
the required attention they have less than
children in a higher position since it
mentions that they do not have the same
attention or the same teaching, which is the
cognitive part that is affected.
Analyzing Discourse
Pragmatics And Politeness Theory Pragmatics is the analysis to obtain the
understanding of the words that are in a
communication between several people,
and also of the previous knowledge that is
contributing in this conversation, also to not
follow the maxims what is done is to avoid
saying something unpleasant, Therefore,
what pragmatics does is analyze the entire
context and the situation before saying the
words that will make the communication
flow.
Ethnography Of Speaking This is known to interpret non-verbal
language and communication itself, since
not only words provide information, but the
body, movements and gestures reveal what
communication is, for which Dell Hymes
made the limitations of the traditional
approaches to explain the communication
process, for which I identify several, such as
the norms of interpretation, rules of
interpretation, speech sequences, form of
the message, the participants, the tone, the
place, purpose, theme and the
characteristics of the message.
International Sociolinguistic This was based on the sociolinguist John
Gumperz, this approach shares with the
approach of ethnography in communication
based on its development, but this in the
interactional framework, this focuses on the
details that people use to communicate what
is the context that We are going to give a
greater emphasis to this, such as the pauses,
the linguistic behavior, this is one of the
most detailed since it pays special attention
to know how the communication is to
interpret what they tell us, because a sigh is
a message, laughter ..
Conversation Analysis They seek to analyze the patterns of the
conversation that is taken as an action
formed by more, since a conversation is
more than words, it is formed, by gestures,
movements that emphasize it, with the
adjacency pairs we mark, that these can be
greetings, goodbyes, questions and all that,
so these can be marked by more activities
together is the way we act and also, the
movement of our body the reaction we have
during a conversation.
Critical Discourse Analysis This is the execution of the previous
approaches but here is the analyst as his
word says well, he criticizes the aspects of
communication, he is concerned with
investigating how we are using language to
maintain relations with society, he seeks to
demonstrate the relationship that exists
between language power and language and
ideology, seeks to criticize what is doing
that makes a development in a
communication who has the most attention
and how we manage to do it.
Attitudes And Application
Attitudes To Language Be able to understand that the context is the
basis of speech, so you have to understand
the pronunciation and distinguish the
sounds to understand the communication in
all the senses, since the pronunciation helps
to distinguish the different meanings of
words that can sound almost Likewise, we
have to take into account that attitudes are
largely based on the social prejudices that
are generated in society that every day
attitudes show how a word can be
interpreted.
Sociolinguistic And Education I understand that it is like the marked form
of the language, that there are the vernacular
languages which reveal how we speak, for
which in an example the teacher tries to
change the form of speech but if the student
does not change so easily. So this is
something that is happening little by little
when it comes to assimilate that
communication is a fundamental part, but
this occurs through motivation, so trying to
teach a dialect without motivation will be a
difficult task.
Sociolinguistic And Forensic Linguistic It works with different contexts which
inquire into the use of language in the legal
and spoken written areas, disclose
information to the courts about linguistics,
this is to analyze the communication in legal
business, it is also an intervention in
courtrooms, The objective of forensic
sociolinguists is to identify clues and
understand that they always help to solve,
these serve in large cases, which they must
investigate how written and spoken
communication works for them, they must
interpret and make everything understood.
Conclusion
Sociolinguistic Competence It deals with the skills that we are acquiring
and in what way it is that we obtain the
speech behavior and how we are developing
this activity, about how we learn the
language in our social communities in the
appropriate way since we are always
adjusting it to our needs and how we feel in
the moment, this is the ability that people
have to use language what are the abilities
that make the sociolinguistic aspect,
because we use in our daily routine.
Dimension Of Sociolinguistic Analysis The relationship you have with people are
the dimensions that we will use, we can use
a more standard language or a regional one,
all this is influenced by relationships, which
is solidarity, status and the functions that we
select depends on the existing relationship
or the situation in which we find ourselves
all this depends on the context in which we
find ourselves that we will adapt our
language.
Sociolinguistic Universal They look for patterns related between
language and society, they seek to identify
common activities in which social factors
count, explains the linguistic variation in
different communities, all have linguistic
means to be identified, such as the formality
of the dimension, other is to express the
basic functions of speech, and the variation
of language with social variation all of these
form important factors that make languages
universal.
what is the perception we
have of the situation as we
manage to understand and
assimilate everything that
happens.
