The survey investigated students’ attitudes towards sports. The overall attitude towards sports

The survey results indicate that the overall attitude towards sports is positive, since most
students either played or watched a sport. This shows that most students regard sports as

something important. The survey also shows that the sports facilities in Male’ are considered
poor. This may be a reason why students did not play a sport regularly.
Description of the survey: To conduct the survey, a questionnaire was used. The survey was
done during week six of this semester.

Methodology
Selection of participants: Eighteen students from class L1G5 took part in the survey. It was
convenient and time saving to conduct the survey among the class; however, we can get a more
accurate picture if we choose participants from a wider population.
Questions asked: The survey included closed-ended questions to obtain information about
gender, age, whether students played sports regularly and how often they watched sports. Open
ended questions were asked to find out what participants’ opinions about the sports facilities.
