rite/blessing of the palms, the
Thurifer holds both the thurible
and the incense boat.
 At the recitation of the first gospel,
he hands the boat to the presider.
 The presider takes the boat then
the thurifer opens and presents the
thurible to the presider.
 The presider puts incense into the
thurible.
 The thurifer closes the thurible,
retrieves the boat and hands the
thurible to the preside.
Juderick Cutiam Boat & Asppersorium  At the beginning of the rite, he
Bearer holds the aspersorium until the
presider blesses the people's
palms.
 He is still to hold the aspersorium
in procession to the doors of the
chapel and places it at the sacristy.
 Then he takes the boat from the
thurifer and performs his usual
functions throughout the
remainder of the mass

 Assists at placing 1 lectern before
the altar for the reading of the
passion
 Assists at putting away items
presented at the offertory
 Rings the bell at the consecration
1st Pair: 4 Candle Bearers  Candles are only to be used upon
