AFFIDAVIT OF SERVICE
I, Afisa Namugenyi , a process server of the High Court of Uganda
and other Subordinate Courts do solemnly make oath and state as
follows:

1. That am a female adult Ugandan of sound mind, well conversant with the
circumstances under which court process was served in this matter and I
make this affidavit in that capacity.

2. That on the 21.01.2025, I received copies of the Plaint and Summons from
the plaintiff requiring the Defendant to file in a written statement of
defence within 15 days.

3. That on the 24.01.2025, I in the company of the plaintiff went to the the
village in which the defendant resides.

4. That the plaintiff thereafter left me to proceed to the residence of the


defendant wherein a found the wife of the defendant.

5. That I introduced myself to the defendants wife and explained the


purpose of my visit.
6. That the defendant’s wife refused to receive the summons and took me to
where the husband/defendant was.

7. That I introduced my self and explained the purpose of my visit to the


defendant prior to giving him the copies of the summons and plaint
thereto.

8. That the defendant signed on the return copy to the summons as an


acknowledgment of effective service. (see photos attached hereto marked
as annexure A)

9. That I swear this affidavit as proof of service of court process on to the


Defendant and that the same was proper and effectual.

10. That what is stated herein above is true and correct to the best of my
knowledge.
