Exponent Rules
Terminology:

Exponential Form Expanded Form

When multiplying powers, you keep the base the same and add the exponents.
2 2 2 4

When dividing powers, you keep the base the same and subtract the exponents.

Raising an exponent to another exponent, you multiply the exponents.

Remember that you need to treat coefficient and variables separately

Whenever the exponent is zero, the value is 1. Watch out for order of operations.

Negative exponents move the value into the denominator.
