Vicente D. Trinidad National Highschool

Statement of the Problem:

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study aims to determine the factors affecting the


learning styles of Grade 10 students at Vicente D. Trinidad
National Highschool.

In details it seeks to answer the questions that follow:

1. What is the profile of Grade 10 respondents in terms of:


1.1 Gender
1.2 Age
1.3 Grade Level
2. What are the most common learning styles among Grade 10
respondents?
3. What are the factors that influence the learning styles
of Grade 10 respondents?
4. Is there a significant difference on the factors
affecting the learning styles of the respondents when
grouped according to profile variables?

PART I
There are three basic types of learning styles. The three
most common are auditory, tactile, and visual. There are
series of questions that are related to the three main
learning styles. Don’t think about the question too much. Go
with your first choice.

Instructions: Complete the table by assigning the following


point values for each question.

Auditory Rate

a. I can remember best by listening to a lecture


that includes information, explanation and
discussions.

b. I prefer to see information written on the


board and supplemented by visual aids and
assigned readings.

visual review.

d. I prefer to use posters, models or actual


practice and other activities in class.

e. I am skillful with and enjoy developing

Tactile Rate

There are factors that affects the learning style of the
students. The three common are Physical and Environmental,
Personal (Intellectual, Mental, Emotional and Social) and
Teacher and Learning. There are related to the three main
factors

This study targets to determine the profile and the

factors affecting the desired track of the respondents. In

detail, it provides answer to the questions that follows:

respondents in choosing among the SHS strands in terms
