Dear Musa,

OFFER OF ADMISSION - 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR


1. This is to inform you that the Academic Board has offered you admission to Accra Technical University to pursue a three year
Morning Session Programme of study leading to the award of HND Electrical Engineering.
2. Your reference number is 93137
3. Admission is granted for a specific year and a successful candidate who fails to enroll in that particular year the offer is made
or withdraws from the programme without due process forfeits his/her admission.
4. You are cautioned that this admission offer becomes invalid if it is discovered subsequently that you do not in actual fact
possess the qualification by virtue of which you were admitted on the programme of study.
5. All students are on probation for the duration of their programmes and may be withdrawn/dismissed at any time for
misbehaviour, poor academic performance or any other unsatisfactory conduct.
6. The University requires that you be declared medically fit by the Medical Officer in charge of the University Medical Centre.
7. The fees per year is two thousand eight hundred and ninety-one Ghana Cedis (GHS 2891) (the fees are however subject to
review). All fees should be paid at any branch of the following banks: Bank of Africa, Fidelity Bank or Access Bank; or secure
online payment platform for Visa Card, MasterCard and Mobile Money. Link https://atu.edu.gh/payfees. In addition, you will be
required to pay Ninety Ghana Cedis (GHS 90.00) for the chest x-ray.
8. University fees must be paid upon receipt of your admission letter to guarantee a place. Cash will not be accepted. Fees paid
to the University are not refundable. The fees include both SRC and Departmental Association dues but exclude Hostel fees.
9. Official Identity Card will be issued to students who have paid their fees, registered, and undergone a medical examination.
10. The University does not provide financial assistance for students. There is however, students’ loan scheme known as
Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF). Registered Ghanaian students who are not on paid study leave are eligible to access loan
directly from this scheme.
11. The University re-opens PROVISIONALLY for the 2024/2025 academic year on Wednesday, 8th January, 2025. You are
expected to report on campus and go through registration formalities at your department.
12. Note that accommodation is not in any way linked to the offer of admission. The University has limited residential
accommodation facilities and is strictly available on a first come, first served basis.
13. Online delivery of lectures/tutorials may be adopted to support the traditional face-face approach, you will therefore be
required to have a device that allows you to connect to the internet.
14. You are strongly advised to familiarize yourself with all the regulations that are in the University Students’ Guide and Code of
Conduct as they will be strictly applied. Kindly visit https://atu.edu.gh for copies of the Students’ Guide and Code of Conduct.
15. We wish to kindly inform you that if the University is unable to obtain the minimum number of students required to run a
programme for which admission has been offered, you would be transferred to another session or programme.
16. Kindly note that you are required to register your courses at the beginning of each semester for the entire duration of the
programme.
