IELTS Academic (Computer-Based)

Preparation Plan
You have 1.5 months (~6 weeks) to raise your IELTS Academic score from 7.0 to a
minimum of 8.0. This plan focuses on refining high-scoring areas, eliminating small errors
in Writing & Speaking, and becoming fully familiar with the computer-based test format.

6-Week IELTS Academic Study Plan (Computer-Based)


Weekly Schedule:
- Hours/week: 15–18 (2–3 hours/day, 5–6 days/week)
- Format: Focus days + Simulation day + Review day

WEEK 1–2: Diagnostic & Foundation Polish


 🎧 Listening

 Do 2 full listening tests/week (Cambridge IELTS 10–18)


 Practice listening with transcripts (shadowing + note-taking)
 Focus: Multiple-choice, matching, maps/diagrams

 📖 Reading

 2 full tests/week (timed)


 Practice skimming/scanning techniques
 Focus: Headings matching, T/F/NG, detail location

 ✍️Writing

 Analyze Band 8–9 essays (Task 1 + 2)


 Write 2 essays/week with self-correction + feedback
 Learn advanced linking words and lexical resource
 Speaking

 Record 2–3 mock interviews/week


 Focus: fluency and pronunciation
 Prepare ideas for Part 2 topics (cue cards)

WEEK 3–4: Strategy & Output Improvement
