The dispatch of product is considered through Road tankers. The basis of dispatch facilities by
road (Truck) for the product is considered based on Product ethanol flow for 100 KL per Day.
Denaturant is added manually in Anhydrous Ethanol tanker. Quantity of denaturant added are as
follows
i. Crotonaldehyde - 40 litres
ii. Denatonium Saccharide- 800 gms
Crotonaldehyde is available in 200 or 250 lit drums and Denatonium Saccharide (powder form)
is available in 100 kg drums with small packing (1kg or 0.8 kgs) as per requirement.
Following basis could be considered for design of road tanker loading facilities as per
requirement:
Tanker capacity for road loading is considered as 34 KL for product loading & for deciding
number of bays.
The loading gantry shall be designed with top loading arrangement (as per owner
requirements).
Tanker changeover time is considered as 15 mins. (Connection, Disconnection,
Compartment changeover etc.)
Accounting of transfer & custody transfer shall be done through mass flow meter.
Provision for unloading sick tanker shall be considered. For unloading sick road tanker,
unloading point shall be provided on each bay or near Off spec tank.
Each loading arm will have strainer, mass flow meter, Flow controller (FQCV) &
Temperature sensor as a minimum. The road loading operation is regulated by a Mass Flow
Meter and FQCV assembly by means of a batch controller.
Suitable gas detectors for hydrocarbon/Ethanol shall be considered for gantry.
Emergency shutdown system during any emergency to be considered.
Vapor recovery system shall be provided to recover evaporation losses during loading
operation. Recovered dilute ethanol shall be suitably reprocessed based on licensor
recommendation.
Fusel Oil & Impure spirit dispatch will be carried our using separate pipe with hose
connection. FO & Impure spirit dispatch is occasional. Provision shall be made to fire it in
Boiler
No. of bays & gantries and gantry configuration are listed as below
Sr. No. No of Bay No of Loading point /bay Product Loading type

1 2 1 Ethanol Top
