SAMARPAN-2025
Event: PICK & SPEAK COMPETITION
Venue: LH103
Date: 01-05-2025
Time: 12:30-1:30PM
Brief introduction about event
In a "Pick and Speak" competition, participants randomly select a topic and then speak about it
for a specified time, often without prior preparation. The competition typically involves a blind
draw of topics, a brief preparation time, and a judging panel evaluating the performance.

Rules & Regulation:

1. Topic Selection:
 Blind Draw: Participants typically select a topic from a container without knowing
what it will be.

2. Short Preparation:
 A limited time frame is usually given to decide which of the selected topics to speak on
and prepare a brief outline or mental plan.

3. Speaking Time:
 There's a set time limit for each speech, usually a few minutes, to ensure focus and
prevent extended rambling.
4. Warning Bells:
 Some competitions may use warning signals (like bells or buzzers) to indicate when
the allotted time is nearing.

5. Judging Criteria:
Judging will be based on the following criteria.

1. Communication: Clarity, organization, and ability to convey the message effectively.

2. Content: The depth and relevance of the information presented, as well as the speaker's
passion for the topic.
3. Vocal Delivery: Enthusiasm, confidence, and proper pronunciation.
4. Language: Proper grammar, word choice, and avoiding filler words.
5. Nonverbal Communication: Eye contact, posture, and gestures.
