A. If there is an airstream from the ram air outlet:
(1) Do the procedure to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST item
ATA: 21 AIRCOND Ref. AMM 45-10-00-860-801:
(a) On the Multipurpose Control & Display Unit (MCDU), go to the "ECS SYSTEM
DATA" page.

(b) Compare the P1 WATER EXTRACTOR (521HH14) with the P2 WATER EXTRAC
TOR (522HH14):
(a) If split duct 521HH20 is damaged, replace the P1 SPLIT DUCT (521HH20) R
ef. AMM 21-53-38-000-801 and Ref. AMM 21-53-38-400-801.
1 Do a check of the heat exchangers, the ducts and the bellows in the a
ir conditioning pack for damage or rupture:

(4) Do a check of the ram air-inlet side of the main heat exchanger and make sure tha
t there is no contamination.
(5) If the fault continues:
(a) Carefully remove the maintenance cover between the main heat exchanger
and the primary heat exchanger.
(b) Do a check of the slot between the main heat exchanger and the primary he
at exchanger on the ram air-inlet side and make sure that there is no conta
mination.
(6) If the fault continues:
(a) Clean the water injector and the water extraction loops of pack 1 and pack
2 Ref. AMM 21-53-00-100-802.
2 Examine the inlet and outlet header of the ozone for contamination.
(c) Replace the P1 AIR CYCLE MACHINE (521HH12) Ref. AMM 21-52-21-000-80
1 and Ref. AMM 21-52-21-400-801.

B. If there is no airstream from the ram air outlet:
(1) Stop the pre-conditioning of the air conditioning system Ref. AMM 12-33-21-618-8

NOTE: The air conditioning packs can overheat if there is no airstream from the
ram air outlet.
(2) Do a check of split duct 521HH20 for damage.
NOTE: One or more large holes of the split duct can lead to the ACM fault messa
ge.
(3) If the split duct is damaged:
- Replace the P1 SPLIT DUCT (521HH20) Ref. AMM 21-53-38-000-801 and Re
f. AMM 21-53-38-400-801.
(4) If the split duct is not damaged:
(a) Do a check of the duct downstream of FCV 511HB and of the bellows in the
air conditioning pack for damages or ruptures.
(b) If the duct or the bellows are damaged, replace them Ref. AMM 21-52-41-0
00-801 and Ref. AMM 21-52-41-400-801.
(c) Airbus recommends that you clean the water injector and water extraction l
oops before the replacement of the ACM. This prevents multiple ACM failure
s. Contamination of the water injector and the water extraction loops can ca
use damage to the ice around the reheater and at the ACM.
(d) If the water injector and the water extraction loops are not damaged:
1 Do the cleaning of the water injector and the water extraction loops o
f pack 1 and pack 2 Ref. AMM 21-53-00-100-802.
b Examine the inlet and outlet header of the ozone for contamina
tion.

C. Do these tests:
(1) Do the operational test of the Pack Control and Indicating System Ref. AMM 21-5
3-00-710-801.
