WALK IN INTERVIEW NOTICE FOR THE POST OF PROJECT STAFF NURSE*
ON TEMPORARY & CONTRACT BASIS FOR A FINANCIALLY APPROVED RESEARCH
PROJECT BY ICMR ENTITLED "A NON-INFERIORITY RANDOMIZED TRIAL TO
ASSESS THE EFFICACY OF 10MG HYDROXYUREA/KG/DAY VERSUS 20MG
HYDROXYUREA/KG/DAY IN TREATMENT OF SICKLE CELL DISEASE PATIENTS OF
TRIBAL AND NON-TRIBAL AREAS IN INDIA" IN THE DEPARTMENT OF
BIOCHEMISTRY AT AIIMS, RAIPUR.

AIIMS, Raipur invites eligible candidates (Indian nationals) to attend walk-in-interview for
the post of PROJECT STAFF NURSE*on temporary & contractual basis for a financially
approved research project by ICMR project entitled "A NON-INFERIORITY RANDOMIZED
TRIAL TO ASSESS THE EFFICACY OF 10MG HYDROXYUREA/KG/DAY VERSUS 20MG
HYDROXYUREA/KG/DAY IN TREATMENT OF SICKLE CELL DISEASE PATIENTS OF
TRIBAL AND NON TRIBAL AREAS IN INDIA" for a period of “ six months” ( which will be
extended half yearly basis with performance-based increments (yearly) in salary as applicable).

Date of walk-in interview is 16.05.2025 at 2:30PM in the Dept. of Biochemistry,

Medical college, AIIMS, Raipur. Reporting time is 1:00 PM.

Essential qualifications, experience, and consolidated salary are as follows:

Candidates not fulfilling the below essential qualifications/ experience need not apply.

1. Post Name: PROJECT STAFF NURSE*

Resource Requirement: 1 Post: UR

Nature of Post: Temporary & Contractual basis

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years

Place of Posting: Department of Biochemistry, AIIMS, Raipur

Project Duration: “Six months” ( which will be extended half yearly based on
performance )

Educational Qualification: Essential:

BSc Nursing /DGNM from a recognized university with more

than five years of clinical work experience as a nurse from a
recognized institution/hospital, after acquiring the required
qualification
 Desirable:

BSc/MSc (Nursing) from a recognized institute / university with

clinical work experience in pediatrics or emergency.
Ability to use computers - Hands-on experience in office
applications, spreadsheets, and presentations.

Nature of duties: ●​ File Preparation –To put all the documentation needed
to complete a study
●​ Patient preparation – ensure the participant
understands what procedures he/she will have during the
visit/s.
●​ Case report form entry – This gets done when all the
relevant information is documented in specific forms as
requested by the sponsor. Education – ongoing education is
given to the participants regarding the study; medication;
possible side-effects of medication; laboratory results etc
●​ Informed Consent – this process starts at the first
contact with the participant and ends at the end of the study.
●​ Quality management – to ensure good data integrity.
●​ Maintain a clean & safe environment, providing
comfort & psychological support to patients.
●​ Collection and labeling of patient samples &
storage.
●​ Screening patients & assisting in investigations and
anthropometric measurements.
●​ Working for patient’s compliance with treatment
by regular monitoring & maintaining nurse notes & charts.
●​ Timely submission of nurse notes & reports
●​ Should be able to draw blood samples from all age
groups (especially pediatric patients.)
●​ Any other job assigned by PI

Proposed Salary: ₹ 33,040/-pm

Terms & Conditions: -

1.​ Qualification & experience should be in a relevant discipline/field from an Institution of
repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential
qualification.
2.​ Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee selection.
3.​ Persons already in regular time-scale service under any Government Department /
Organization are not eligible.
4.​ Candidates will be interviewed off-line, if they are selected will have to produce original
documents of their qualification age and experience before joining. If they are not found
entitled, their selection will be canceled immediately.
5.​ Candidates are advised to visit the Institute’s website for any change, result or any other
information.
6.​ Departmental candidates or candidates working /have worked on projects of ICMR
Institutes/Centres shall be given one-time age relaxation to a maximum of five years or a
completed months/year based on earlier project services, whichever is less, provided they
 meet the essential qualification and experience prescribed for the post, to provide them an
opportunity to compete with other candidates.
7.​ Age relaxation against posts earmarked for reserved candidates will be as per the Govt. of
India Norms. No relaxation will be allowed in unreserved posts.
8.​ Age will be reckoned from the date of the walk-in interview.
9.​ The above post is contractual for the duration offered and may or may not be renewed subject
to satisfactory performance and requirements.
10.​ Stipend/consolidated emoluments of the project positions may vary from time to time.
11.​ No TA/DA will be paid either for an interview in person/joining the post.
Candidates have to arrange transport/accommodation themselves for these
purposes.
12.​ The selection committee reserves the right to consider or reject any application/candidature.
13.​ Submission of wrong or false information during the process of selection shall disqualify the
candidature at any stage.
14.​ Appointment on project is purely temporary and candidates shall have no claim for regular
appointment either in AIIMS, Raipur or ICMR or any organization of Govt. of India.
15.​ Leave shall be as per the ICMR policy for the project staff.
16.​ The number of vacancies may vary according to the requirement at a later stage.
17.​ Please give the details of two responsible persons in your locality or two references to whom
you are known.
18.​ The addendum/corrigendum of this advertisement will not be published in the newspaper.

19.​ Any matter for which no specific instruction has been given shall be decided by the selection
committee and the decision shall be final and binding on the candidate.
20.​ Selected candidates should report within a week.
21.​ The appointment can be terminated with one-month notice from either side without
assigning any reason.
22.​ The appointee shall be on whole-time appointment for the project concerned shall not accept
any other assignment paid or otherwise and shall not engage himself/herself in a private
practice of any kind during the period of the contract.
23.​ The appointee shall perform the duties as assigned to him/her. The competent authority
reserves the right to assign any duty as and when required. No extra/additional allowances
will be admissible in case of such assignment.

24.​ Extension on the job may be given if there is further requirement or extension of the project
depending upon the previous work performance evaluation report.
25.​ Final results will be declared on the website of AIIMS Raipur and selected candidates will
be informed through email.

The Selection Committee reserves the right to cancel/modify the recruitment process at any time,
during the process, at the committee's discretion. The decision of the Selection committee will be
final and binding. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification of the candidate at any
stage of the recruitment process.
