Description:
Brief general description
Emoze, the world's first free and secure push email and personal information management (PIM) service. With emoze, anyone with vast variety of mobile devices can receive behind the firewall corporate and/or consumer accounts, emails and PIM data, such as contacts and diary scheduling, on their mobile phone or PDA on the move, anywhere in the world. As a real push email service, emoze will automatically push your emails and PIM data to your phone as soon as it is sent to you without you having to pro-actively connect to a service every time you want to send or receive. For the past few years, this type of service has been available mainly in a very costly package and mostly restricted to a specific hardware and software platform. Emoze removes such barriers with a free, simple, flexible, and secure service creating significant savings for corporate users and consumers alike.

Emoze will automatically aborts the connection if there is only one account connected and the user select to 'Stop' it or when closing/exiting the emoze application. The emoze application will automatically launch and connect, if the user attempts to send an email via one of the emoze accounts/mailboxes, while the emoze application is not running. If emoze is running, but the user has stopped the accounts he tries to send an email from, emoze will NOT automatically establish a connection and sign-in, to send the email.
Important notes:
Emoze supports only 'Meetings' in calendar. Other types, such as anniversary, tasks or reminders, are not supported and will not be synchronized by emoze. Emoze maps Outlook 'All day events' from the PC, to 'Memo' entries on the device, (as the PC Suit does). As mentioned above For each account defined in emoze, emoze creates a new mailbox, with the account's username as the mailbox name, and will place the account's incoming emails in the account's designated mailbox. This is done in order to allow the user to easily distinguish between incoming emails of different accounts and none emoze related items (transferred files, SMS, MMS items, etc'). And to allow us to add unique features to the mailbox, such as, an option to change the font size. Backup/Restore of Emoze application itself not supported, however, emails and PIM data can be backed up and restored with no dependency with emoze. Emoze doesn't support Calendar reminders synchronization. When the application is installed on the phone, it will be automatically launched at the end of the process. HTML e-mails are displayed in plain text with some links automatically added, even if these links were not existing (links on phone number or email address) Setting up of OWA account is split to 2 steps if application in portrait mode, but it is split to 4 steps if application in landscape mode.

Page 18 of 38 Download on demand supports attachments up to ~950KB in size, above that, the option to download the attachment, is not available. The accounts in emoze will be stopped, if while in sleep mode, the user switches the device to offline mode; the accounts will try to start after coming out of sleep mode. Important: On some Series 60 devices (e.g. Nokia E61), when there is no regular system mail account configured and the user has defined only one account (data source) the emoze outgoing emails are mapped by the system to the default mail account. For those devices when user selects to create a regular system mail ("Messaging" ->"Options"-> "Create message" ->"E-mail") the emoze mail editor will be launched, as if he selected the account he has added to emoze. This is a known issue that does NOT affect the application or the system behavior in any mean. On other devices, such as the Nokia N73 if there are no system accounts configured emoze will not be set by the system as the default mail account so when user creates a new Email - the system will ask him if he wants to configure a new account. Once the user has started one of the accounts in emoze, either using 'Always On' mode or 'Periodic Mode', emoze will re-establish the connection whenever it needs it, even if the connection was aborted via the connection manager by the user. In order to stop emoze from reestablishing the connection, the user must 'Stop' all of the active accounts defined in emoze. When a new email arrives to one of the emoze mailboxes, a notify message appears, displaying the total number of new messages in all of emoze mailboxes. The notify message is closed when pressing any of the keys on the keypad, except the LSK, which will open the first account's mailbox that was added to emoze. Functionality of the Google apps connection is identical to the Gmail connection, therefore the Gmail related instructions, apply also to Google Apps. While in OWA mode, 'All Day Free' events are ignored.

Warning Disable, Errors,Warning, Info, Debug No signature User may enter a custom signature that will automatically be added to every outgoing email.
Note: about Connection mode emoze offer two connection modes, connection using HTTP and the other, using TCP. Devices that can utilize the TCP connection will benefit from much more economic data traffic and therefore less battery power consumption, while using emoze. Note: about 'Log Level' When select one of the options other than 'Disable' emoze client will create a log for each of the accounts added to emoze and log its activities. Currently, all of the log levels options (other than 'Disable'), are identical, providing the same level of activity logging. Note: While at least one of emoze accounts is connected, either in "Always On" mode or in "Periodic Mode", emoze will re-establish the connection every time it will need it, even if the connection was aborted via the 'Connection Manager' for instance. To stop emoze from re-establishing the connection, one must stop all of the accounts defined in emoze. Emoze automatically aborts the connection when stopping all of the accounts defined in emoze or when closing/exiting the emoze application. The emoze application will automatically launch and connect, if the user attempts to send an email via one of the accounts mailboxes, while the emoze application is not running. If emoze is running, but the user has stopped all of the accounts defined in emoze and then tries to send an email using one of the accounts mailboxes, emoze will NOT automatically establish a connection and start the account to send the email. When emoze need to connect to the internet, it will first check if there's already an open connection and then will try to use it.

8. Emoze Mailbox
As mentioned on a previous section, emoze installation creates a new mailbox for each account (data source) added to emoze. The mailbox name matches the related account's username. The mailbox icon reflects the account's data source type used.
Email items received by emoze, are placed in the 'emoze' mailbox, relevant to the account they were received from.
Emails in the mailbox may be represented by one of the following icons: For emails with an un-read status For emails with a read status For emails with an already downloaded attachment (read / unread) For emails that their attachment download is in progress (read / unread) For emails that were forwarded. For emails that were replayed. At the right side of the screen, each email may get the paper clip icon, to indicate if the email contains an attachment or not. Only emails that have the

or icons, are emails that their attachment was downloaded to the device and may be accessed. Emails that have either the icon, or the icon, and have a paper clip indicator at the right side of the screen are emails that their attachment should be downloaded before it can be accessed. Subfolders get the icon.
Selecting an attachment will bring up an alert, asking the user if he wishes to download the attachment, emoze will also try to take an educated guess, and alert the user if the user might not be able to open the file on the device due to the file type. Emoze does that by checking the file's suffix and comparing it to a list of common file types that are open-able by most of the mobile devices. If emoze doesn't recognize the file suffix as open-able, it will display an alert, alerting the user that he might not be able to open the file on the device. If emoze does recognize the file suffix, it will go on with the download process without further notice. While an attachment is being downloaded, the user has the option to select 'Cancel download' from the menu and abort the download process. There are two ways to abort the download process; the user can abort the download for a specific attachment file (if the email contains multiple attachments) or for all of the attachments in the email.
