Nature and location of the work The work in this section

(iii) The contractor is however referred to the various

SUPPLEMENTARY PREAMBLES
Carting away of excavated material
Descriptions of carting away of excavated material shall be
deemed to include loading excavated material onto trucks
directly from the excavations or, alternatively, from stock piles
situated on the building site
Pricing of Working Space allowance to Excavation
Excavation, disposal, backfilling and compaction with suitable
excavated or imported materials, work below ground water
level, and breaking out are deemed to be included in the
pricing.
Reinforcement
Bars will be specified to comply with the British standard BS
4449. Specifically, bar diameter sizes 10mm, 12mm, 16mm
and 20mm shall have the mass per unit length (kg/m) of
0.617, 0.888, 1.579 and 2.467 respectively. Tenderer should
note this and price accordingly.
