➔ Please read carefully the instructions in each section. If
there are instructions that you don’t understand,
please ask your parents, guardians or older siblings for
guidance.
➔ The activity that you will submit to me is ONLY your
Activity Sheet on the “Deepen” section of this
Instructional Sheet.
➔ For submission of activities, please refer to the date
stated in the “Deepen” part of this Instructional Sheet.

Once again, a pleasant day to you. I am so excited to
have you in my class this year. We are going to do and learn
so many things. I have so much for you to learn. The time will
go so fast. I hope you have your school supplies ready all the
time and see you at the end of this module. I am always here
to help you, so please try to DO your best! Show me that you
really care on every task and every test.

As you go along in this module, in the long run and on


your own, you will be able to connect numeracy with real life
situations that requires you the skills of problem solving,
critical judgement, and sense-making in related to applied
contexts.

DISCOVER Have you ever asked yourself what do the


numbers around you tells you? How do
you use counting and numbers
everyday? Why is it important to
know the value of numbers?
Numbers are very important in your daily lives. It helps
you develop the ability to recognize numbers around you and
it encourages all of us to think flexibly.
In this module, you will discover many things about
numbers. You will be able to know numbers from 100 up to
1000, the ordinal numbers and Philippine money. You will be
able to:
● Know how to associate and group numbers from 100 up
to 1000;
● Visualizes and represents numbers from 0-1000 with
emphasis on 101-1000 (M2NS-Ia-1.2);
● Group objects in ones, tens, and hundreds (M2NS-Ib-
2.2).

Kindly get your Math 2 book and open it to the following


pages for the discussion. Please be guided and follow the
instructions!

CHAPTER 1: NUMBERS AND NUMBER SENSE


Lesson 1.3 Associating Numbers with Sets having 101
up to 500 Objects and giving the numbers of objects
Instructions:
★ Read and understand the story
and “Concept Review” on pages
17-20 with the guidance of your
parent, guardian, or older
sibling.
★ As part of your exercise/drill on
this lesson kindly answer, “Do

Instructions:
★ Read and understand the discussion on pages 24-27
with the guidance of your parent, guardian, or older
sibling.
★ As part of your exercise/drill on this lesson kindly
answer, “Reasoning” on page 29 on your book and try
also answering at least two problem solving on page
30.

Lesson 1.5 Counting and Grouping Object in Ones,


Tens and Hundred
Instructions:
★ Read and understand the discussions on page 31-34
with the guidance of your parent, guardian, or older
sibling.
★ As part of your exercise/drill on this lesson kindly, try
answering the problem solving on pages 37-38.

DEEPEN Now that you have learned the different properties and
structures of matter, challenge yourself and answer the
following. But before that, kindly read first the instructions
for this section.
