Startup Showcase
Event Name

Startup Showcase is a platform for CIS students to present their innovative


business ideas, products, or services through engaging presentations. This event
Event Brief fosters creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial skills while offering
valuable feedback from industry experts and networking opportunities.
Participants can refine their ideas, gain mentorship, and earn recognition within
the entrepreneurial community. Whether it’s a unique service or a
groundbreaking concept, Startup Showcase is for all.

Objective
● Foster creative thinking and entrepreneurial skills among students.
● Provide a platform for students to showcase their innovative startup ideas.
● Offer constructive feedback from experienced faculty members to help
participants refine their ideas.
● Cultivate a competitive yet supportive environment that encourages teamwork
and public speaking skills.

1. Welcome and Introduction
Flow of the Event
● The event will begin with a warm welcome by the core, introducing the
faculty judges and outlining the event’s agenda.
2. Presentation Session
● Each team will have 10 minutes to present their startup idea and
showcase their project.
● Presentations should include the problem being addressed, the solution,
the business model, target market, and future plans.
3. Q&A Session
● After each team’s presentation, the judges will have 3 minutes for a brief
Q&A to clarify or dive deeper into key aspects of the startup idea.
4. Judges' Discussion
● The judges will discuss and evaluate each team’s performance based on
criteria such as innovation, feasibility, presentation skills, and overall
impact.
5. Announcement of Winners
● The top two teams, as determined by the faculty judges, will be
announced.
● The winners will be awarded certificates recognising their achievement.
6. Closing Remarks
● The event will conclude with a few words from the judges, providing
feedback.
