3. Details on system replacing procedures

3.1. Work at resource PC (Extracting data for replacement)

(*Note) If you operate a CR Console, make a backup in advance.

1) Terminate the application, and launch the Service Utility.

2) If you operate a CR Console, back up all of the items using the backup function.
3) If Media Storage settings have been configured, delete the settings. (These settings are not the target of
takeover because setting items are different on V5.0.)
4) In replacing data from CR Console, if there are settings for built-in devices other than Velocity in
NetworkConfig setting and Selector setting, delete the settings.

3.4. Work for taking over exposure menu data

Exposure menu data are taken over using the Menu Import/Export Tool.
Data to be edited with Menu Import/Export Tool are MenuData.mdb and XconParam.mdb; however, these files
must be consistent with DisplayData.mdb and Selector.mdb. Therefore, the recommended procedure for this
work is as follows: copy all of the 4 files, edit the files with the tool, and then copy them to the destination PC.
(In following section, steps according to the recommended procedure are described.)
For usage instruction of the Menu Import/Export Tool, see DXCSL_V3.0-ECN Appendix-Q Menu
Import/Exposure Tool V3.0.
* Because an error will occur, do not launch User Utility before performing this work.
* Because changing of the DB might fail and improper files might be created, do not install Menu Import/Export
Tool to the PC in which Console Advance V5.0 has been installed.
* When importing, click the "Property Set" button and perform the following settings.
- Under Function setting: Place checkmarks to RT, TM, WS, PS, and ES, and remove the checkmarks from
others.
- Under EDR Mode setting: Place checkmarks to both Manual and Semi-X.

1) Copy the 4 files of MenuData.mdb, XconParam.mdb, DisplayData.mdb, and Selector.mdb in the destination
PC to the PC in which the tool is going to be used (such as service PC).
2) Copy MenuData.mdb and XconParam.mdb (backed up data) in the resource PC to the PC in which the tool
is going to be used (such as service PC). * Copy to a location different from the one for data copied in step
1).
3) Using the Menu Import/Export Tool, export the data copied in step 2).
4) As needed, edit the Excel file exported in step 3).
5) Using the Menu Import/Export Tool, import (repair) the Excel file edited in step 4) to the data copied in step
1).
6) Copy the data imported in step 5) to the destination PC. (Copy all the 4 files of MenuData.mdb,
XconParam.mdb, DisplayData.mdb, and Selector.mdb to the destination PC.)
