Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

Also Amaziah said unto

Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there
eat bread, and prophesy there: But prophesy not again any more at Bethel:
for it [is] the king’s chapel, and it [is] the king’s court. And I
will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall
build the waste cities, and inhabit [them]; and they shall plant
vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and
eat the fruit of them. And he returned to be healed in Jezreel because of
the wounds which were given him at Ramah, when he fought with Hazael king

joy of thy lord. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great

and touched me [one] like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened
me, And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace [be] unto thee, be
strong, yea, be strong. Is there iniquity in my tongue? [Also] the
children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the
captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve
bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs,
twelve he goats [for] a sin offering: all [this was] a burnt offering
unto the LORD. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Also on the tenth
[day] of this seventh month [there shall be] a day of atonement: it shall
be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and
offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. Come [and] hear, all ye
that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul. For in
the days of David and Asaph of old [there were] chief of the singers, and
songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God. For our transgressions are
multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our
transgressions [are] with us; and [as for] our iniquities, we know them;
In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our
God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the
heart words of falsehood. And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee,
I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God
that thou mayest curse me them from thence. And Moses and Aaron went out

Israel, [were] in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines. Why
went ye nigh the wall? And it was [so] from that day forward, that he
made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel unto this day. And we are
witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in
Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the
third day, and shewed him openly; Not to all the people, but unto
witnesses chosen before of God, [even] to us, who did eat and drink with
him after he rose from the dead. [Is it] not even thus, O ye children of
Israel? In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I
have overcome the world. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat
down to meat. And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead,
and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that [is] before
Rabbah; And from Heshbon unto Ramathmizpeh, and Betonim; and from
Mahanaim unto the border of Debir; And in the valley, Betharam, and
Bethnimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon
king of Heshbon, Jordan and [his] border, [even] unto the edge of the sea
of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward. And the children of Heth
answered Abraham, saying unto him, Hear us, my lord: thou [art] a mighty
prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of
us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy
dead. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have
lifted up the head. And the porch that [was] in the front [of the house],
the length [of it was] according to the breadth of the house, twenty
cubits, and the height [was] an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it
within with pure gold. This is my commandment, That ye love one another,
as I have loved you. But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun
shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars
of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful [is] this place! this [is] none
other but the house of God, and this [is] the gate of heaven. And they
shall go forward in the third rank. And he said also unto his disciples,
There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was

save him? Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon
shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by
letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. And it shall be
unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn
oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be
taken. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the
Cherethites! the word of the LORD [is] against you; O Canaan, the land of
the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no
inhabitant. And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the
names of the children of Israel: Six of their names on one stone, and
[the other] six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their
birth. What hath my beloved to do in mine house, [seeing] she hath
wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? And
Saul’s uncle said unto him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And

Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the
land of Canaan they came. [A Psalm] of David. I am like a pelican of the

defile the man. Saith the LORD. But we trusted that it had been he which
should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day
since these things were done. Or [if] I send a pestilence into that land,
and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:
Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, [were] in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord
GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall [but]
deliver their own souls by their righteousness. For men verily swear by

Areli, the family of the Arelites. Amen. And he went through all the
tribes of Israel unto Abel, and to Bethmaachah, and all the Berites: and
they were gathered together, and went also after him. And thou hast said
unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses;
for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. For the LORD spake
thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk
in the way of this people, saying, Say ye not, A confederacy, to all
[them to] whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye
their fear, nor be afraid. And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD
commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that [were] in

provoke me to anger. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over [and]
gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing [of birds]
is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The fig tree

a [good] smell. And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah’s

from him; when he knoweth [of it], then he shall be guilty in one of
these. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that
hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which [were]
in the day [that] the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was
laid, that the temple might be built. I [am] the LORD, and [there is]
none else, [there is] no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast
not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the
west, that [there is] none beside me. Also they reported his good deeds
before me, and uttered my words to him. And if any man lie with her at
all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all

death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of
the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Yea, and what
have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of
Palestine? Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it
[is] an evil time. But God said unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy
soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which
thou hast provided? Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the
merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished. Who then is
Paul, and who [is] Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as
the Lord gave to every man? And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that
bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall
ye die. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in
pain together until now. Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and

gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so
they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon,
and the land of Og king of Bashan. Who answered, Give me a blessing; for
thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And the

in the east, and are come to worship him. And the oil stayed. But what
think ye? Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as
thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart. My son, be
wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.
And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And they that sat at meat
with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins
also? And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten
women [his] concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them
in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. Who is weak, and I am
not weak? And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet
but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And ye shall know
that I [am] the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and
brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye
shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know
that I the LORD have spoken [it], and performed [it], saith the LORD. And
it came to pass, that, when Abraham’s servant heard their words, he
worshipped the LORD, [bowing himself] to the earth. His lord said unto

all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither
shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up
in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto
death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of
men, with them that go down to the pit. And the LORD did according to the
word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages,

And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they
said unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us
[they will be upon you]. And the barbarous people shewed us no little
kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of
the present rain, and because of the cold. But they and our fathers dealt
proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst
among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a
captain to return to their bondage: but thou [art] a God ready to pardon,
gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and
forsookest them not. And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and
fill the valleys with thy height. I will speak of the glorious honour of
thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And what communion hath light
with darkness? Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: [so] will we
sing and praise thy power. And he said, This [is] the word of the LORD,
which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion

Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of
Jezreel; [so] that they shall not say, This [is] Jezebel. Let now the
astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and
save thee from [these things] that shall come upon thee. For the violence

this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to
them, then they will be thy servants for ever. And his father refused,
and said, I know [it], my son, I know [it]: he also shall become a
people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall
be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. But
Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. But when
he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they
shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall
fear the God of Israel. As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of
the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for
ever. The [church that is] at Babylon, elected together with [you],
saluteth you; and [so doth] Marcus my son. And when ye spread forth your
hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I
will not hear: your hands are full of blood. And Adonijah slew sheep and
oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which [is] by Enrogel, and
called all his brethren the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah the
king’s servants: But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty
men, and Solomon his brother, he called not. He turneth rivers into a
wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; A fruitful land into
barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. He hoped also
that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him:
wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him. And the
wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and
dragons in [their] pleasant palaces: and her time [is] near to come, and
her days shall not be prolonged. And it shall come to pass, [that he that
is] left in Zion, and [he that] remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called
holy, [even] every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion,
and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by
the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. So Joram went over
to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote
the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots:
and the people fled into their tents. And when ye shall see Jerusalem
compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. And
he made an hanging for the tabernacle door [of] blue, and purple, and
scarlet, and fine twined linen, of needlework; And the five pillars of it
with their hooks: and he overlaid their chapiters and their fillets with
gold: but their five sockets [were of] brass. Behold, I went out to
withstand thee, because [thy] way is perverse before me: And the ass saw
me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me,
surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive. Thus [were] the
visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of
the earth, and the height thereof [was] great. Quicken me, O LORD, for
thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of
trouble. Jehoiachin [was] eighteen years old when he began to reign, and
he reigned in Jerusalem three months. But God will redeem my soul from
the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Therefore I make a
decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing
amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in
pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no
other God that can deliver after this sort. And I will punish him and his
seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and
upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the
evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not. Blessed
[are] they that keep judgment, [and] he that doeth righteousness at all
times. And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he

And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. So foolish [was] I, and
ignorant: I was [as] a beast before thee. Behold, Abner came unto thee;
why [is] it [that] thou hast sent him away, and he is quite gone? [There

in Jezreel. And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he
said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a
man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if
by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else
thou shalt pay a talent of silver. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh,

the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod. So I prayed to the God of
heaven. And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not

servant Ahijah the prophet. A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an

of old. Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was
diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth [were of]
iron, and his nails [of] brass; [which] devoured, brake in pieces, and
stamped the residue with his feet; And of the ten horns that [were] in
his head, and [of] the other which came up, and before whom three fell;

blow, [and] the waters flow. To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For so the LORD said unto me, I will
take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat
upon herbs, [and] like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest. And
Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their
courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for
burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks,
and to praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD. And they dwelt in
Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon,
upon their borders. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee.
These shall first set forth. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever
he went. And would to God this people were under my hand! then would I
remove Abimelech. And it came to pass, when all the kings of the
Amorites, which [were] on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings
of the Canaanites, which [were] by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried
up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were
passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them
any more, because of the children of Israel. And it shall come to pass,
[that] when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be
clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles
they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within. But if, while
we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners,
[is] therefore Christ the minister of sin? For thou saidst, What
advantage will it be unto thee? Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within
me; my heart within me is desolate. O death, where [is] thy sting? And
the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the
multitude melted away, and they went on beating down [one another]. And
the beeves [were] thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD’S tribute
[was] threescore and twelve. And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David,
The king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the
Philistines, to be avenged of the king’s enemies. And when Peter saw
[it], he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at
this? There shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be
thrown down. Remember the former things of old: for I [am] God, and
[there is] none else; [I am] God, and [there is] none like me, Declaring
the end from the beginning, and from ancient times [the things] that are
not [yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my
pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth
my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken [it], I will also bring
it to pass; I have purposed [it], I will also do it. But if thou shalt
indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy
unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. For whom he
did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of
his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. [Let]
nothing [be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind
let each esteem other better than themselves. At destruction and famine
thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the
earth. My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with
the skin of my teeth. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the
devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom
resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are
accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. Then the tribe of
Gad: and the captain of the sons of Gad [shall be] Eliasaph the son of
Reuel. And David [was] then in the hold, and the Philistines’ garrison
[was] then at Bethlehem. And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim
two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. Woe unto
thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? And Abraham said, Because
I thought, Surely the fear of God [is] not in this place; and they will
slay me for my wife’s sake. And why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one
question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these
things. Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.
They have heard that I sigh: [there is] none to comfort me: all mine
enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done [it]:
thou wilt bring the day [that] thou hast called, and they shall be like
unto me. Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the
young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil?
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did
esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. I remembered God, and
was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Pardon, I
beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of
thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until
now. The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they
declare their sin as Sodom, they hide [it] not. But he answered and said
unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and
there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so
shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the
earth. As a snail [which] melteth, let [every one of them] pass away:
[like] the untimely birth of a woman, [that] they may not see the sun.
And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an
ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall
be glorious. Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written,
He gave them bread from heaven to eat. When wisdom entereth into thine
heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve
thee, understanding shall keep thee: To deliver thee from the way of the
evil [man], from the man that speaketh froward things; Who leave the
paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice to do
evil, [and] delight in the frowardness of the wicked; Whose ways [are]
crooked, and [they] froward in their paths: To deliver thee from the
strange woman, [even] from the stranger [which] flattereth with her
words; Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the
covenant of her God. And not to be set on a candlestick? To crush under
his feet all the prisoners of the earth, To turn aside the right of a man
before the face of the most High, To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord
approveth not. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent,
and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is
bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. But he himself went a
day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a
juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said,
It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I [am] not better than
my fathers. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come;
and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with
me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land [is] before thee: whither
it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go. And David took
the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought
them to Jerusalem. And he said, What have I sinned, that thou wouldest
deliver thy servant into the hand of Ahab, to slay me? Where the word of
a king [is, there is] power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?
Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man. And he caused
his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom:
also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and
dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in
the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. Truly the light [is]
sweet, and a pleasant [thing it is] for the eyes to behold the sun: But
if a man live many years, [and] rejoice in them all; yet let him remember
the days of darkness; for they shall be many. Thus far [is] the judgment
of Moab. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I
observed from my youth. But if he wash [them] not, nor bathe his flesh;
then he shall bear his iniquity. And [some] of them, [even] of the sons
of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their
captains Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of
Ishi. Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani,
Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, [and] Chenani, and cried with
a loud voice unto the LORD their God. And the sons of Hananiah; Pelatiah,
and Jesaiah: the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of
Obadiah, the sons of Shechaniah. Also he took away out of all the cities
of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before
him. Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come
down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, As [when] the
melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy
name known to thine adversaries, [that] the nations may tremble at thy
presence! When thou didst terrible things [which] we looked not for, thou
camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence. Now therefore
hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I
teach you, for to do [them], that ye may live, and go in and possess the
land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. But we believe that
through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as
they. I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? So shalt thou put
away the [guilt of] innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do
[that which is] right in the sight of the LORD. And it shall be done.
Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, [if]
thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. And
when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of
the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? And it came to pass
about ten days [after], that the LORD smote Nabal, that he died. And
Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee
on the water. And if [it be] from five years old even unto twenty years
old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the
female ten shekels. So all the generations from Abraham to David [are]
fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon
[are] fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto
Christ [are] fourteen generations. If thou wilt send our brother with us,
we will go down and buy thee food: But if thou wilt not send [him], we
will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face,
except your brother [be] with you. So David brought not the ark [home] to
himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of
Obededom the Gittite. And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen,
neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell
safely, and none shall make [them] afraid. All the land shall be turned
as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted
up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of
the first gate, unto the corner gate, and [from] the tower of Hananeel
unto the king’s winepresses. These things have I written unto you that
believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have
