And he
killed James the brother of John with the sword. Counsel [is] mine, and
sound wisdom: I [am] understanding; I have strength. And he also [that
is] valiant, whose heart [is] as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt:
for all Israel knoweth that thy father [is] a mighty man, and [they]
which [be] with him [are] valiant men. And there shall in no wise enter
into it any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh
abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the
Lamb’s book of life. This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. And
Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people,
that they should be the LORD’S people; between the king also and the
people. And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the
tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer
them [for] an offering. Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? The
words of a talebearer [are] as wounds, and they go down into the
innermost parts of the belly. They say unto him, The first. And he put
forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: That they
may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the
God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee. But oh that
God would speak, and open his lips against thee; And that he would shew
thee the secrets of wisdom, that [they are] double to that which is! Know
therefore that God exacteth of thee [less] than thine iniquity
[deserveth]. But Sihon trusted not Israel to pass through his coast: but
Sihon gathered all his people together, and pitched in Jahaz, and fought
against Israel. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Moreover
David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons
of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps,
with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen
according to their service was: Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph,
and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph,
which prophesied according to the order of the king. 1And hearken thou to
the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they
shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place:
and when thou hearest, forgive. No lion shall be there, nor [any]
ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the
redeemed shall walk [there]: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return,
and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they
shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. Behold, ye [are] all children of
Israel; give here your advice and counsel. And they cried out again,
Crucify him. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of
Achaia unto Christ. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and
doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his
house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the
winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall
of it. And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the
iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in
all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they
may be accepted before the LORD. But John forbad him, saying, I have need
to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? These going before tarried
for us at Troas. Cursed [be] he that setteth light by his father or his
mother. And the king said unto him, Where [is] he? Yet ye say, Wherein
hast thou loved us? If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments,
and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall
yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both
their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so
do they unto this day. And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye,
serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your
little ones also go with you. Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the
God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to
cut off all Judah. This [hath been] thy manner from thy youth, that thou
obeyedst not my voice. So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the
sea: and the sea ceased from her raging. [There is] no darkness, nor
shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together
in unity! [It is] like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down
upon the beard, [even] Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of
his garments; As the dew of Hermon, [and as the dew] that descended upon
the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, [even]
life for evermore. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of
the law. O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a
kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour: And for the majesty that he
gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before
him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he
would he set up; and whom he would he put down. But when the Philistines
heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines
came up to seek David; and David heard [of it], and went down to the
hold. All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And it came to pass,
after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and
told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the
water: for thus hath Ahithophel counselled against you. Therefore now go,
lead the people unto [the place] of which I have spoken unto thee:
behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I
visit I will visit their sin upon them. And he answered and said unto
them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would
immediately cry out. And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of
Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called,
and his disciples, to the marriage. Wherefore seeing we also are
compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside
every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run
with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the
author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before
him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right
hand of the throne of God. Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou
see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them
go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land. And the
LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that
hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: [is] not this a brand plucked out of
the fire? And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the
mother of all living. Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all
Judah; none [was] exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and
the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built with
them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah. And his power shall be mighty, but not
by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper,
and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And he
said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and
fasting. Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee
on his throne, [to be] king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved
Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over
them, to do judgment and justice. It may be they will present their
supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil
way: for great [is] the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced
against this people. Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did,
and his might, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of
the kings of Israel? If one man sin against another, the judge shall
judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him?
Do good, O LORD, unto [those that be] good, and to [them that are]
upright in their hearts. And he said unto him that [was] over the vestry,
Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. Provide things
honest in the sight of all men. For what [is] the hope of the hypocrite,
though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul? Look unto Abraham
your father, and unto Sarah [that] bare you: for I called him alone, and
blessed him, and increased him. The baptism of John, was [it] from
heaven, or of men? And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer
and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed
unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great
and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him,
and to them that keep his commandments; We have sinned, and have
committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by
departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: Neither have we
hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our
kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
For sinners also love those that love them. And Hezekiah slept with his
fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead. But with whom was he
grieved forty years? Also of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the
son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni; And Shabbethai
and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, [had] the oversight of the
outward business of the house of God. For as many of you as have been
baptized into Christ have put on Christ. I will both lay me down in
peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father,
because the LORD would slay them. It shall be even given thee to the half
of the kingdom. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him
even as he was in the ship. And I saw another mighty angel come down from
heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow [was] upon his head, and his
face [was] as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: And he
had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the
sea, and [his] left [foot] on the earth, And cried with a loud voice, as
[when] a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered
their voices. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. God
forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing: Behold, the
money, which we found in our sacks’ mouths, we brought again unto thee
out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord’s
house silver or gold? Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man
have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. He
fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. Then came
the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying, Speak unto all the people
of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in
the fifth and seventh [month], even those seventy years, did ye at all
fast unto me, [even] to me? And [they of] the south shall possess the
mount of Esau; and [they of] the plain the Philistines: and they shall
possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin
[shall possess] Gilead. And they began to be merry. This same Jesus,
which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as
ye have seen him go into heaven. And Jair the son of Manasseh went and
took the small towns thereof, and called them Havothjair. They shall lift
up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall
cry aloud from the sea. And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and
unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that
remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without
leaven beside the altar: for it [is] most holy: And ye shall eat it in
the holy place, because it [is] thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the
sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded. For Menahem
the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote
Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his
stead. Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen,
Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
They remembered not his hand, [nor] the day when he delivered them from
the enemy. The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that
begetteth a wise [child] shall have joy of him. And he saw a chariot
[with] a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, [and] a chariot of
camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed: And he cried, A lion:
My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am
set in my ward whole nights: And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men,
[with] a couple of horsemen. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. So
he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river,
and set his face [toward] the mount Gilead. And the LORD thy God will
make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy
body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for
good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced
over thy fathers: If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy
God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this
book of the law, [and] if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine
heart, and with all thy soul. And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in
the twelfth month, in the first [day] of the month, [that] the word of
the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation for
Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of
the nations, and thou [art] as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth
with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst
their rivers. But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his
voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all [ye] that dwell at
Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are
not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day.
Seeing he judgeth those that are high. The glory of young men [is] their
strength: and the beauty of old men [is] the gray head. And there came a
messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after
Absalom. And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give
according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto
the LORD, as [it is] written in the book of Moses. Open thy mouth for the
dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Shall the
axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? And Moses wrote their
goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD:
and these [are] their journeys according to their goings out. And the
king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also
all the princes of Judah in Riblah. Then did they spit in his face, and
buffeted him; and others smote [him] with the palms of their hands,
Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee? Ho,
every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no
money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money
and without price. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have
toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I
will let down the net. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto
him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And her parents were
astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was
done. The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge.
Shall even he that hateth right govern? My son, if thou be surety for thy
friend, [if] thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger, Thou art snared
with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand
[of them] whom thou hatest, into the hand [of them] from whom thy mind is
alienated: And they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall take away
all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of
thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
Now Barzillai was a very aged man, [even] fourscore years old: and he had
provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he [was] a
very great man. And he wrought evil in the sight of the LORD; but not
like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal
that his father had made. When they had heard [these words], they
marvelled, and left him, and went their way. And the devil said unto him,
All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is
delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. But when Jesus
knew [it], he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed
him, and he healed them all; And charged them that they should not make
him known: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the
prophet, saying, Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in
whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall
shew judgment to the Gentiles. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ
for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. I
indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the
Holy Ghost. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he
that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he
doth judge and make war. In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in
straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him. Then he called for
Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for the LORD God of
Israel. But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house with all the
servants of his lord, and went not down to his house. And the Gibeonites
said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house;
neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And the five men that
went to spy out the land went up, [and] came in thither, [and] took the
graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and
the priest stood in the entering of the gate with the six hundred men
[that were] appointed with weapons of war. Wherefore, though I wrote unto
you, [I did it] not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his
cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God
might appear unto you. Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? And
they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against
Galilee. Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and
religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them,
persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. The beginning of the
words of his mouth [is] foolishness: and the end of his talk [is]
mischievous madness. Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,
and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon. And it came to pass by
the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him. Praise
ye the LORD. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me. Make
a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. [am] not I better to thee
than ten sons? What I tell you in darkness, [that] speak ye in light: and
what ye hear in the ear, [that] preach ye upon the housetops. The
diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was
sick, neither have ye bound up [that which was] broken, neither have ye
brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that
which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. And
why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Likewise
also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought,
they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out
of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them]
all. Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less
shall it be meet yet for [any] work, when the fire hath devoured it, and
it is burned? Now after the death of Jehoiada came the princes of Judah,
and made obeisance to the king. For he [is] small. And let these also
first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being [found]
blameless. I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them,
and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they. Howbeit
the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not
prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers. This [was] the word
of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the
throne of Israel unto the fourth [generation]. And God said to Jonah,
Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? Behold, I am pressed under
you, as a cart is pressed [that is] full of sheaves. And he arose and
went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under
Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure,
and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, Was returning, and sitting in
his chariot read Esaias the prophet. Doth a fountain send forth at the
same place sweet [water] and bitter? Go ye therefore into the highways,
and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. The prince that
wanteth understanding [is] also a great oppressor: [but] he that hateth
covetousness shall prolong [his] days. Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God;
him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his
name. And let him that heareth say, Come. All the horns of the wicked
also will I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD: Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered
through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy
abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give
unto them; Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou
hast taken pleasure, and all [them] that thou hast loved, with all [them]
that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee,
and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy
nakedness. Of the tribe of Juda [were] sealed twelve thousand. How
excellent [is] thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men
put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. He shall go to the
generation of his fathers; they shall never see light. And it came to
pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the
palace of the king’s house, and burnt the king’s house over him with
fire, and died, For his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight
of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he
did, to make Israel to sin. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as
the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. But if the priest look on it,
and, behold, [there be] no white hairs therein, and [if] it [be] not
lower than the skin, but [be] somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut
him up seven days: And if it spread much abroad in the skin, then the
priest shall pronounce him unclean: it [is] a plague. The Lord GOD hath
sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency
of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with
all that is therein. And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell
[him], Let not him that girdeth on [his harness] boast himself as he that
putteth it off. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become
the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall
thy seed be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Let my
supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word. The
children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and three. And Saul sent the
messengers [again] to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed,
that I may slay him. And Moses took the redemption money of them that
were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites: Of the
firstborn of the children of Israel took he the money; a thousand three
hundred and threescore and five [shekels], after the shekel of the
sanctuary: And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron
and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded
Moses. Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance,
[both for] him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the
stranger that sojourneth among them. 1Do therefore according to thy
wisdom, and let not his hoar head go down to the grave in peace. And the
second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. In
the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. And
wilt thou condemn him that is most just? I have power to lay it down, and
I have power to take it again. And his men that [were] with him did David
bring up, every man with his household: and they dwelt in the cities of
Hebron. God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the
strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and
shall break their bones, and pierce [them] through with his arrows. And
they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then
can be saved? Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth
his colour in the cup, [when] it moveth itself aright. And, behold, the
angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet
him, And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem
shall be inhabited [as] towns without walls for the multitude of men and
cattle therein: For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire
round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. His teeth [are]
terrible round about. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard
behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega,
the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send
[it] unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto
Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto
Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And he said unto them, He that hath ears
to hear, let him hear. And the people were faint. While he [was] yet
speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters
[were] eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: And,
behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four
corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead;
and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. And their coast was from
Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the
towns of Jair, which [are] in Bashan, threescore cities: And half Gilead,
and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [were
pertaining] unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, [even] to
the one half of the children of Machir by their families. The beast that
thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit,
and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder,
whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of
the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him
not see his days? And she said, I will go. A Song of degrees of David.
[Of] the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company of the
Ashurites have made thy benches [of] ivory, [brought] out of the isles of
Chittim. Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel,
Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and
Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, [and] Mahazioth: All these
[were] the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift
up the horn. And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of
Laban his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother’s
brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well’s
mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother’s brother. We will go
into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool. It [was] the
ninth month, on the twentieth [day] of the month; and all the people sat
in the street of the house of God, trembling because of [this] matter,
and for the great rain. And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre,
unto the city of Arbah, which [is] Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac
sojourned. And Abraham was old, [and] well stricken in age: and the LORD
had blessed Abraham in all things. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say
unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God
before you. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king’s hand
was restored him again, and became as [it was] before. Let us lift up our
heart with [our] hands unto God in the heavens. They were driven forth
from among [men], (they cried after them as [after] a thief;) To dwell in
the clifts of the valleys, [in] caves of the earth, and [in] the rocks.
But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father
gave me commandment, even so I do. Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy
against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against
thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee
back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come
up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of
Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause
thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Then shalt thou kill the ram,
and take of his blood, and put [it] upon the tip of the right ear of
Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb
