Course Objectives:

This course is designed keeping in mind the current media industry requirements. Students are introduced to principles of multimedia design. Based on the
hands-on experience approaches, methods and usage of multimedia techniques are introduced and will be applied to the examples. This course will help
students to understand the multimedia approach and to utilize the knowledge and skills gained by the course for multimedia production.

Module II Basics of Adobe Photoshop


• Basics of Adobe Photoshop: Document types and templates, Use of Artboards, Navigation, Configuring the
user interface, Creating various shapes, Fill and stroke, Transformation techniques, Selection tools, Grouping the
objects, Alignment & distribution, Handling the appearance of objects, Drawing, Use of Various Brushes,
Working with images (tracing), Typing options, Saving & exporting for print and the web.

Pedagogy for Course Delivery:


The classes will be lecture demonstration methods with each class having split into two with lecture and followed by demonstration. The classes will also have
a lot of practical exercises to understand the various techniques and practically apply them.

List of Professional Skill Development Activities (PSDA):

i. Portfolio creation- students will create a their digital portfolio in which they will present skills, profile, expertise and their experience.
ii. Live Project- online they will create their blogs using the knowledge multimedia tools they have learned
iii. Website creation- with the help of html students will create four page, political/sports/entertainment/business website. This activity will
give them a real time field experience of creating and managing a professional standard website.
iv. Students will regularly update their blog and website category and will make a record of bouncing rate, viewership or readership and after
getting the feedback will do necessary modifications in website and blogs.
