ACCIDENT REPORT
TO: Mr. Gilbert
FROM: Melliesha Saint Jean
DATE: 25/12/23
SUBJECT: Accident in the Workshop

On December 20, 2023, at about 2 p.m., Jacob Higgs age 25 of a Kew Town
address was using the circular saw in the Building Tech Lab at the Camero
Academy High to cut a few boards for his bedside table. Jacob Higgs failed to
abide by the safety rule which is to avoid being engaged in horseplay and as a
result his entire right arm was severed. Brenique Wells, age 32, of a Five Cays
address was present and saw the entire scene and exactly what had happened.
Brenique ran to the assistance of Jacob, and she used a towel to tie around the
wound to aid in ceasing further bleeding. She then took the arm, put it in a plastic
bag and placed the bag in a bowl filled with ice water. Jacob was rushed to the
nearby hospital where he was treated by a doctor who did surgical operations on
his arm and stitched it back on. Jacob was then released the following day.
