Alligation

The concept of Alligations is simply an extension of Averages.

Weighted Average Rule or Average Rule


Here are mixing two items one is Cheaper and other is Dearer item

Now rewrite the formula such that the quantity terms come on one side and the price terms
come on the other side.

This is called the Rule of Alligation.


 This rule connects quantities and prices in mixtures.
