General Instructions:
Dear Students, read the instructions carefully.
1. Contact your Subject Teacher for any query.
2. Divide holiday homework evenly to avoid last minute stress
3. Keep clarity and neatness in presentation.
4. Use your own words and ideas.
5. Draw margins and use pencils and ruler for diagrams and graphs accordingly.
6. Write name , Class , Section and subject on the cover page of each assignment.
7. Maintain index
8. Submit the holiday homework within the first week of July.

SCIENCE
1. Take two glasses and fill one with hot water and one with cold water. Drop a sugar cube in each.
Question: In which glass does the sugar dissolve faster? Why? ( Write in 5-6 lines )

2. Make a list of 5 simple machines you see in your surroundings (like scissors, bicycle, etc.).
Question: What type of simple machine is each one, and how does it help us in daily life?
( Write in 5-6 lines )
3. Collect leaves from different plants. Observe their shape, size, and color.
Question: How are the leaves similar or different? What might be the reason for these
differences?
4. Draw or collect pictures of 4 animals (e.g., fish, birds, mammals).
Question: How do their body parts help them live in their environment (like fins in fish or wings in
birds)?
5. Draw or paste pictures of a bird, a fish, a mammal, and an insect. Label their body parts and
identify how each is adapted to its habitat.

Note: Make a separate science project file for above mentioned activities.

ENGLISH

1. Write short paragraph on importance of Saving water. (10-12 lines )


2. Prepare 2 minutes speech on the topic “ Importance of Kindness”.(15 lines)
3. Learn and write 10 new words each week with their meanings and sentences.
4. Write a diary entry on every Sunday night. (10-12 lines)

Note: Make a separate English project file for the above mentioned questions.

SOCIAL SCIENCE

1. 3D Model/Chart of Earth’s Interior:


Create a labelled diagram or 3D model showing the layers of the Earth—Crust, Mantle, and Core.
Use colored paper, clay, or any recycled material.
2. Create a Timeline or Storyboard of Mauryan Rulers:
Make a timeline highlighting key events during the reign of Chandragupta Maurya, Bindusara, and
Ashoka. Include important events like the Kalinga war and Ashoka’s conversion to Buddhism.
Illustrate with drawings or printed pictures.
3.. Map Activity – (Geography)
Locate and label the following on a physical map of India:
*Your state
*Any two neighboring states
*One major river
*One mountain range
*One capital city
4. Poster Making – Unity in Diversity
Create a colorful poster with the title “Unity in Diversity – India”.
Include symbols, drawings, or quotes that represent different cultures, religions, and traditions living
together in harmony.
5. Sources of History – Studying Our Past
Look at an old coin, photo, or object at home (or use a picture from your textbook).
Answer the following questions:
I. What is it made of?
II. What does it tell us about the past?
III Why is it important to preserve such things?

MATHEMATICS

1. Magic Triangle Activity:

Make a triangle using matchsticks or straws and place numbers from 1 to 9 (without repeating) in
such a way that the sum of each side of the triangle is the same.

(Paste the triangle on chart paper and write your observations.)

2. Pattern Collage:

Create a small collage showing patterns in real life (floor tiles, clothing designs, leaves, etc.). (Paste
pictures in a chart paper and describe the pattern you observe in each one (minimum 4 patterns)

3. Geometry Hunt

Draw and label 5 different geometrical shapes ( In a notebook)

4. Pattern Creation

Create your own number pattern using addition or multiplication. Write the first 10 terms of the
pattern.( In a notebook)

5. Draw a graph analysis of your last year PT-1 PT -2 and PT-3 marks. ( On a graph)

TOPIC:- SAFEGUARDING YOUR COMPUTER


ACTIVITY
1. Create a Cyber Safety Poster
Design a colorful poster to show 5 important ways to protect your computer from viruses and
hackers. Include both text and images. use A4 sheet .
2. Cyber Threats Scavenger Hunt
Find and list 3 common types of cyber threats (e.g., malware, phishing).
What do they do?
How can we prevent them? ( In 2-3 lines )
3. Strong Password Challenge
Create 3 strong passwords using tips like:
Mixing letters, numbers, and symbols
Avoiding personal information
Then explain why each one is strong.(In 2-3 lines)
4. My Daily Cyber Safety Routine
Write a short diary entry or make a checklist showing how you would keep your computer safe every
day. (In 4-5 lines)
5. Story Time: The Hacked Computer
Write a short story or comic strip about a person whose computer got hacked because they didn’t
follow cyber safety rules.
What mistake did they make?
How could they have avoided it?
NOTE :- Make a separate Computer project file for above mentioned activities.
