REPORT ON HANDS ON WORKSHOP ON MATLAB & SIMULINK FOR

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM DESIGN

DATES:-6th March to 8th March 2025

VENUE:- Agastya Seminar Hall Department of EEE, MRCET.

The 3-day hands-on workshop on MATLAB & Simulink, organized by the Department of Electrical
and Electronics Engineering at Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology from 6th to 8th
March 2025, was a great success. The event provided students with in-depth knowledge of
MATLAB & Simulink applications in electrical system design and electric vehicles through
practical learning and expert lectures. This workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical
knowledge and practical implementation by offering an immersive learning experience. Students
were introduced to MATLAB and Simulink software, gaining hands-on exposure to modeling,
simulation, and analysis of electrical systems. The sessions covered fundamental concepts, real-time
simulations, and advanced techniques required for designing efficient electrical and electric vehicle
systems.

The program also emphasized industry-oriented skills, helping students understand the role of
MATLAB & Simulink in modern electrical engineering practices. Participants learned how to
analyze power systems, optimize control strategies for electric vehicle applications, and implement
circuit simulations effectively.Through guided exercises and real-world case studies, students
explored crucial topics such as energy efficiency, battery management systems, and power
electronics applications. Guest speakers from industry and academia provided valuable insights into
emerging trends and career opportunities in the field of electrical engineering and electric vehicles.

By the end of the workshop, students had developed a strong foundation in using MATLAB &
Simulink tools, enabling them to apply their knowledge to academic projects, research initiatives,
and future career prospects. The positive feedback from participants highlighted the effectiveness of
hands-on training, interactive discussions, and personalized mentoring provided during the sessions
