Knowledge as Catalyst
Knowledge as Catalyst
Education – a term familiar to all. As a nation that mandates 9 years of compulsory education and
strives to extend it to 12 years, education is something we often hear about and undoubtedly plays a
crucial role in life – like the foundation of a building, a light in the darkness, a window for the
progress of civilization, and various other captivating descriptions. With education, I can stand up to
deliver my speech, and with education, you can understand and even evaluate what I present,
although, of course, we are not native speakers of Western descent, right?
My beloved audience,
Let me share a personal experience that reflects the immense value we place on education. Growing
up, my family and I viewed education as a quest similar to searching for the key to a treasure, a
pursuit not limited by distance. From elementary school, where I traveled a long way just to gain
knowledge, to my current days in secondary school, where I've left home again to live in a dormitory
for the sake of my studies, education has always been an endless pursuit.
Why am I so persistent in gaining knowledge? Because education is crucial for the future, not only on
a personal level but also to make our dreams come true. What we learn not only shapes ourselves -
knowledge, abilities, attitudes, and traits - but also has a profound impact globally. Education,
especially, can reduce hunger, oppression, promote equality, and change lives, helping to realize the
aspirations of many people through research and the implementation of policies born from a
scientific basis.
Dear viewers.
Now, let's try to look at education from a more interesting perspective. I understand that learning is
challenging; I am also in the process of learning, facing difficulties. But the struggles we face are not
just obstacles; they are keys that open the door to a brighter future, determining the fate not only
for us but also for the world. Let's together take advantage of opportunities to grow, learn, and
discover our unique strengths to shape the future. It may taste bitter, but it will bear the sweetest
fruit.
In conclusion, education plays an important role in shaping the future. It bridges dreams and
realization and is the key to progress not only for individuals but even for civilization. So let's start
from ourselves - become a small glimmer of light. The process may be difficult, but little by little, it
will become brighter and change the life we are currently living for the better.
Thank You.
