DR. NOEL S. GUNAY

Dean - College of Engineering
Mindanao State University
Fatima, General Santos City

We are Civil Engineering students from Mindanao State University, General Santos,
currently conducting our undergraduate research titled "Stabilization and Analysis of Soil
Using Zea Mays Indentata Corn Husk Ash for Subgrade Preparation."

In the course of our study, we are preparing to conduct the California Bearing Ratio
(CBR) and Standard Proctor Test (SPT). However, we are encountering difficulties due to the
hardness of our soil sample, making it extremely difficult to manually mix with the corn husk ash.
To address this, we are respectfully requesting permission to borrow the crusher equipment from
the Mechanical Engineering Department from April 21 - 25, 2025.

The equipment will be used strictly within the university premises and will not be brought
outside the campus. We assure you that it will be handled responsibly and under proper
supervision. Furthermore, we are willing to shoulder any necessary maintenance costs that may
arise from its use during the specified period.

We believe that the availability of this equipment will greatly support the accuracy and success of
our tests and overall research. We sincerely hope for your kind consideration and support
regarding this request.
Thank you very much for your time and support.

Sincerely, Noted by:
