Science Quiz Bee

MECHANICS

1. The participants of the contest are G11-G12 students (by strand).

2. All Grade level will choose 2 participants from each Strand.

3. The questions will form General information’s of science subject.

4. The contest will have 3 rounds: Easy, Average bd Difficult round. There will be ten (10) questions
for the Easy round, five (5) questions for the Average and five (5) questions for the Difficult
round.

5. The quizmaster shall read each question twice. After the second reading, the quizmaster shall
say the word “GO”. Only then the participants shall begin writing their answers on the boards
provided. The time allotment is 10 seconds for the easy to average round questions and
15seconds for the difficult round.

6. After the time limit and buzzer sound, the participants will automatically stop writing.

7. The parcipantns should raise their answer and correct answer will be flashed on the screen.

8. Any protest or appeals regarding the preceding question will be entertained before the
quizmaster proceed to the next questions.

9. For each team to advance in the Average Round, a team shall have answered seven (7) out of
ten (10) questions.

10. After the Average round, the top 2 scorers will proceed to the Difficult round.

11. For the difficult round, teams will answer five (5) questions. In case of a tie, a clincher round will
follow.

12. Coaching from the audience is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

13. The winners will be declared as: 2nd Place, 1st Place and Quiz Bee Champion.

14. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
