1. How do you maintain a learning environment that is responsive to your community’s context?

Describe the context in

your area and share teacher practices that contribute to further improvement of your community?

Maintaining a learning environment responsive to my community’s context requires an in-depth understanding of the cultural,
socioeconomic, and educational background of the learners. In my community, there is a diverse mix of families with varying
levels of access to resources and support systems. Some students come from underprivileged backgrounds, while others have
access to more resources. To cater to these differences, I practice differentiated instruction and employ inclusive strategies to
ensure that every student’s needs are met. For instance, I integrate technology into the learning process to bridge the gap for
students who may not have access to traditional learning materials. Additionally, I regularly engage with parents to understand
their needs and perspectives, which helps me tailor my teaching methods effectively. These practices contribute to the
improvement of the community by creating an equitable and supportive learning environment that prepares students to succeed
in an ever-changing world.

2. How do you develop your teaching practice in accordance with the existing laws that apply to teaching and the
responsibilities specified in the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers? How do you develop your teaching practice in
accordance with existing regulations?

As a teacher, I regularly study the relevant laws and the Code of Ethics for Teachers. I always make sure that I know, and I am
aware of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher. I have not been involved in any conflict regarding my role as a teacher. At
the end of my day, I self-reflect in all the things I’ve done inside the classroom and to the learners. I am fully aware of my
flaws and be able to improve myself everyday by listening to my mentors. I seek their help every time and take their advice. I
listen to their constructive criticisms and learn from them. I reflect on it too so that I will be able to do better next time. I
believe that by self-reflecting and listening to the good advice of my peers and mentors, I meet what a teacher should be
expected of.

3. In which practice do you show care, respect and integrity to learners, colleagues, parents and other education
stakeholders? How do these practices uphold the dignity of the teaching profession?

1. I abide by the saying, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” As a teacher, it doesn’t matter how high or low you are in
the social ladder. I always teach my learners to be respectful and to do good to themselves and to other people. I always remind
them also to pay respect to all kinds of people and not just to their parents, teachers and school heads. I give my respect to other
people as well, especially my colleagues, by treating them kindly but in a professional way. I also lend a helping hand to all
sorts of people: the learners, the parents, my colleagues and the community. I show integrity by doing what needs to be done
even if no one is watching me. I continue doing what is expected of a teacher in a caring and respectful way. I do initiative of
taking good care of my learners when they are in school. We should always do our duties whole-heartedly and with integrity
because that is what a teacher is all about.

2. Showing care, respect, and integrity is fundamental in building meaningful relationships with learners, colleagues, parents, and
other stakeholders. I believe that every individual in the educational ecosystem deserves to be treated with dignity. In practice,
this means creating a safe and inclusive environment where students feel valued and heard. I encourage open communication,
listen actively to concerns, and provide constructive feedback to foster growth. My interactions with colleagues are
characterized by collaboration and support, as I believe that teaching is a shared responsibility. When engaging with parents
and the wider community, I make sure to maintain a professional demeanor and uphold transparency, ensuring that their input
is considered in the decision-making process. By embodying these values, I not only support student well-being but also
contribute to upholding the dignity of the teaching profession, reinforcing its role as a foundation for the development of
society.

4. What co-curricular and/or extracurricular organizations and/or activities did you participate in, that enabled you to
share your knowledge and enhance your teaching practice? How did your membership in this
organization/participation in this activity contribute to your professional development?
As part of my commitment to professional development, I have volunteered as a coach for the school's basketball team. In this
capacity, I not only teach students the importance of physical fitness but also emphasize the value of discipline, teamwork, and
leadership. These principles align with my classroom teaching philosophy. Through coaching, I’ve gained new insights into
motivating students, adapting to different learning styles, and supporting their personal growth outside of academics.
Furthermore, I regularly participate in online teacher forums and webinars where I exchange ideas with educators from diverse
backgrounds. This ongoing professional development has deepened my understanding of teaching techniques and has allowed
me to implement more dynamic and effective teaching strategies in my classroom.
