COMPOSITIONS TOPICS

1.- INFORMAL LETTER: a good friend of yours recently had an 18th-birthday party
to which many different people were invited. One friend, who lives abroad, was unable
to come to the party. Write a letter to your friend describing the party and include some
details about the people who came and what happened to them.

2.-OPINION ESSAY: a lot of things that students learn at school nowadays is a waste
of time.

3.- OPINION ESSAY: is it a good idea for teenagers at school to have a part-time job?

4.- FORMAL LETTER : you have just seen an advertisement which are looking for
young people to work at weekends in a disco. Write a letter saying why you want the
job and why you think you are suitable for the job.

5.- ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES: write about the pros and cons of
spending a year off before starting university.
